As a Technical Architect at Echo Global Logistics, you will be responsible for architecting and designing cross-functional solutions that are highly impactful to the enterprise. Your role will include tackling tough problems for the organization by decomposing challenges, crafting a technical approach that best addresses those challenges, and working with others to implement the solutions.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Build awareness, increase knowledge and drive adoption of modern technologies, sharing consumer and engineering benefits to gain buy-in
  • Strike the right balance between lending expertise and providing an inclusive environment where others' ideas can be heard and championed; leverage expertise to grow skills in the broader Echo team
  • Promote a culture of engineering excellence, using opportunities to reuse and innersource solutions where possible
  • Effectively communicate with and influence key stakeholders across the enterprise, at all levels of the organization
  • Lead efforts to deploy new and existing applications into AWS environments.
  • Operate as a trusted advisor for a specific technology, platform or capability domain, helping to shape use cases and implementation in an unified manner
  • Drive best practices by creating technical content, code samples, blog posts, and educate our engineers on AWS Serverless technology
  • Provide thought leadership and build engineering excellence across Echo engineering teams


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 7 years' experience of software development or software engineering using modern languages such as Python, Golang, Java, C#
  • At least 3 years' experience with AWS
  • At least 3 years' experience designing scalable resilient tech architecture


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters' Degree
  • 10+ years software development or software engineering experience
  • 7+ years' experience designing and building enterprise platform solutions
  • 5+ years of experience with Agile software development
  • 4+ years' experience with AWS
  • 3+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect
  • AWS Certifications
