Job Description

We are currently seeking a Technical Business Development Manager - LED Specialist in our B2B Information Display Solution Specifier outreach team. Contributes to the sales efforts of Information Display division products and services, by utilizing their business development skills, Direct-View LED experience, and technical knowledge as part of a team responsible for; fostering relationships with key practice and studio leaders at Architectural, Engineering, & Consulting firms, identifying and tracking projects, and influencing design efforts to secure LG product spec-in. This is a Field/Home Office based role. Will consider anyone living within close proximity of major US cities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities;

  • Drive LG Direct-View LED solution spec-in into Specifier projects
  • Manage assigned Specifier relationships within U.S.
  • Contribute to team, program strategy and account planning
  • Identify, prioritize and foster new Specifier relationships (AEC Community)
  • Drive proactive/strategic activities to engage with Specifiers
  • Visit Specifiers in-person at their place of business and/or industry events
  • Participate in and leverage industry associations (AVIXA, AIA, NSCA, etc)
  • Utilize LG Marketing/Salesforce for proactive communication strategy
  • Collaborate with LG sales & Technical Sales to support spec-in efforts
  • Log, track, and report on activity as requested (e.g. Salesforce, weekly/monthly reports)
  • Gather market intelligence and trends from Specifiers and share internally
  • Participate in product, market, and solution planning sessions as needed
  • Lead special task teams and/or business development projects as needed
  • Travel as needed. Domestic (up to 50%). International (occasional).

Where applicable:

  • Leverage LG Academy to educate Specifiers on LG technology/products
  • Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) from Specifiers
  • Identify and track new Specifier projects and push to influence designs
  • Leverage Solution Engineering team for custom solution ideas/creation

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree (business or technical subject) or relevant work experience, minimum 10 years of technology solution sales or business development experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of Direct-View LED (DVLED)experience is a requirement
  • Knowledge of key related vertical market solutions and applications for DVLED, and/or related displays/technologies (Stadiums, Arenas, Large Venues, FaΓ§ades, Building Signage, etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience partnering with the design community (existing related relationships, Consultant Liaison, Architectural or MEP Firm experience a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Ability to travel 75% (throughout the U.S. Possible occasional international travel)
  • Strong understanding of Specifier driven projects, design phases and bid/construction processes
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred)
  • Fluent in English
