The Infrastructure group is responsible for building and maintaining the components tools and systems that make up the Power Z Quantum Controls and Circuit Technologies. We are a large team spread across the world with a wide array of specialties and projects working on everything from power management to silicon design.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Technical Writer (Information developer) you will be responsible for writing editing and publishing high-quality documentation for IBM Power Systems server AIX and related products.

• Decipher technical documents for Power Hardware or associated Software and be able to write procedures and documents required for client reference.
• Gather inputs from development/engineers document the features/defects and publish documentation in IBM Documentation.
• Use IBM guidelines correct grammar and style guide and document accordingly.
• Work with developers to ensure document accuracy.
• Ensure that all written content meets IBM standards.
• Develop communicate and adhere to goals for content workflow and the aim of writing.
• Work on automation where possible and think of process improvements.
• Work end-to-end on release cycles from analysis of requirements up to publishing content.
• Work collaboratively with team members leads developers quality engineers product managers and usability experts to document our products and make our products easier to use.
• Ability to use IBM guidelines correct grammar and style guide and document accordingly.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 10+ years’ relevant industry experience
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to decipher technical documents and write from a user perspective.
• Ability to pick up tools and knowledge in the ever-changing environment quickly and deliver as per schedule with quality.
• Documentation Development Life Cycle knowledge.
• Technical documentation knowledge using DITA XML Markdown Git and GitHub.
