The information security manager space is transforming to align to the product operating model and create scalability to better manage technology risks for the firm. A new service delivery framework is being established to meet this growing demand. This Vice President level role is an opportunity to join the initial deployment of the service delivery team, aligned to the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) from the Corporate Technology Controls, Cyber Operations organization. This team will drive process improvements preventing redundant solutioning that currently exists in complying with technology controls. As a team member you will be part of a group of information security professionals who are passionate about information security and control solutions for computing environments. This role will lead identification of themes and opportunities through centralized data analysis, both creating and driving an agenda which will eliminate toil for all partner organizations. You will partner with one or more disciplines, lines of business, regions, or locations to respond to evolving business requirements and emerging threats. You will also leverage your knowledge of today's ever-changing cybersecurity and risk landscape to influence IT operations across the firm.

The Cybersecurity & Technology Controls group at JPMorgan Chase aligns the firm's cybersecurity, access management, controls and resiliency teams. The group proactively and strategically partners with all lines of business and functions to enable them to design, adopt and integrate appropriate controls; deliver processes and solutions efficiently and consistently; and drive automation of controls. The group's number one priority is to enable the business by keeping the firm safe, stable and resilient.
High Risk Roles (HRR) are sensitive roles within the technology organization that require high assurance of the integrity of staff by virtue of 1) sensitive cybersecurity and technology functions they perform within systems or 2) information they receive regarding sensitive cybersecurity or technology matters. Users in these roles are subject to enhanced pre-hire screening which includes both criminal and credit background checks (as allowed by law). The enhanced screening will need to be successfully completed prior to commencing employment or assignment.

The right candidate for this role will
- Be passionate about data, analyzing complex data sets to find trends and designing reports to drive process improvements
- Be versatile and able to engage across a diverse technology and related controls landscape - past experience working the technology development teams will be beneficial
- Have a controls mindset and interpret controls so that application owners can understand the next right thing to do
- Drive effective risk & controls management and support the technology teams - past experience managing a technology controls landscape will be beneficial
- Understand risk posed by controls lapsing and be able to prioritize and escalate to mitigate that risk exposure
- Articulate the business impact and associated risk and educate stakeholders on proactive measures to remediate
- Be customer focused and incorporate delighting customers with every result and delivery
- Be a self-starter and a culture-carrier, able to complement fellow team members' skill sets and contribute to a cohesive team environment
- Be equally capable in verbal and written communication and contribute to the team's communication strategy
A typical day for this position will include:
- Supporting customers interpreting controls security compliance requirements by conducting root cause analyses (RCA) and or coordinating with our technology partners
- Monitoring and responding to escalations through ServiceNow as the primary service platform
- Managing and resolving requests to help application teams by conducting initial investigations and coordinating with subject matter experts to identify solutions
- Maintaining and reviewing performance dashboards to identify trends and new focus areas to conduct root cause investigations
- Conducting investigations and root cause analysis to define a recommendation
- Designing responses and engagements for newly identified hot spots
- Sharing root cause analysis results with other impacted teams to maximize the impact of the team
- Keeping current on the controls and technology landscapes and updating job aids and knowledge articles as needed
- Proactively communicating to customers and stakeholders where action is needed
- Collaborating with technology partners to develop controls findings remediation guidance to help customers quickly and effectively resolve security risks related to applications
- Reflecting changes to technology and controls in a growing ServiceNow knowledge base to deliver just-in-time information to technology teams
- Facilitating office hours for focus areas to bring customers and subject matter experts together
- Contributing to governance forums to communicate accomplishments, risks and opportunities
- Creating dashboards, decks and prototype reports to drive results and create transparency
