Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Architecture, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience as a technical instructor, in technical training curriculum development, or as a data engineer or data scientist.
  • Experience with cloud computing technologies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Instructional Design, Technical Communications, or a related discipline.
  • Experience coding in Python, using data science libraries (e.g., NumPy, pandas, etc.), and creating Jupyter notebooks.
  • Experience creating and managing demonstration sites and labs by collaborating with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and managers to develop training content.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills for the purpose of knowledge transfer and skill development, including explaining technical topics to novice or non-technical audiences.

As a Technical Curriculum Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain technical learning content and curricula for various cloud roles including Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Business Analysts, Business Intelligence professionals, and Developers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000-$187,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Design and develop creative learner-centered training programs, modules, and materials in multiple modalities including synchronous remote learning methodologies, blended classroom learning, interactive e-learning modules, videos, interactive labs, job aides, facilitator guides, and resource materials.
  • Develop understanding of Google Cloud technologies such as Cloud AI Platform, Cloud Dataflow, Google BigQuery, TensorFlow, Cloud Dataproc, Cloud Spanner and other solutions areas to develop effective training for our customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional SMEs and others to support initiatives.
  • Ensure and drive best practices standardization across all projects, content, and sites.
  • Perform needs and task analysis, scope projects, and evaluate existing documentation to identify the most appropriate training approach and content to meet the learning needs of each audience across multiple global locations.
