What We Need:

The Brady Corporation location in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Technical Customer Support Service Representative (ETO Technician "Engineered To Ordered") who will serve as a technical resource to customers, potential customers, and the sales/marketing staff regarding the resolution of technical, scientific, or engineering issues that affect the sale, installation and utilization of company products or services. Proposes changes in products or services that result in cost reductions and increased sales. May prepare operating manuals, references, or training materials for customers and the sales/marketing staff.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Interface with vendors and manufacturing to source standard and custom solutions for customer needs meeting response time service level agreements.
  • Contact customers to understand requests and obtain clarifications as needed.
  • Make recommendations and present alternative solutions as appropriate.
  • Use negotiating skills and competitive knowledge to cost and price solutions with the goal of optimizing conversion and profit margin.
  • Prepare comprehensive submittal on select customer requests.
  • Fulfill Compliance, Specification Sheets and other customer data requests.
  • Liaise with Operations, Purchasing and Marketing to identify optimal solutions.
  • Liaise with Customer Service Master Data to resolve issues delaying orders and correct errors
  • Expeditiously cost and price engineered order quotes for special order products utilizing knowledge of manufacturing and vendor capabilities.
  • Ability to handle high volume of transactional work daily meeting aggressive completion times.
  • Maintain safe working conditions in the department
  • All other duties as assigned.


What You'll Need To Be Successful:

  • Knowledge of order entry, quoting, and production systems.
  • Ability to multi task in high volume environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong math skills including ability to calculate discounts and margin.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated closing and negotiating skills.


Desired Knowledge, Skills Abilities:

  • 2+ years Safety industry experience preferred.
  • College degree.
  • Working knowledge of key product lines.
  • Knowledge of key product lines and manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of vendors from where we source key product lines.
