Jockey is seeking a Technical Designer to join our Design Services team!
This position will provide technical expertise and pattern making for designated Jockey underwear product categories, ensure consistency of fit across all collections, and build relationships with internal and external partners to ensure the highest quality in all products.
This position will be located at our corporate headquarters in Kenosha, WI (between Chicago, IL and Milwaukee, WI area).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead the technical garment development of the designated underwear collections for each seasonal delivery.
- Collaborate with the Design, Materials and Product Development teams on the development of designated garment collections.
- Lead fit sessions on live models and determine necessary fit adjustments to achieve desired base fit of garments.
- Compile, analyze, and input information into PLM system to deliver a comprehensive Tech Pack for a maker which includes accurate measurement charts, sewing construction specifications, and sample requests.
- Create base size and graded patterns, using established blocks and specifications on new style developments as requested.
- Direct vendor on how to improve samples by pattern revisions / construction updates.
- Accountable for establishing: Blocks, spec measurements, fit adjustments, and analyzing wear tests results to deliver a final approved pre-production garment and final tech pack to the vendor on time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years of proven applied experience of pattern making, grading, and construction.
- Experience in woven's technical design & apparel technical design.
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Design, Product Development and Patterning.
- Previous 3D experience preferred.
- Experience in Men's Apparel Technical Design preferred.
