The Technical Designer Specialist for Apparel will use technical design skills and knowledge of the current market to improve product ratings to 4+ stars by creating and enhancing all private label products through technical design processes. Needs to manage the process in Asana daily interaction with Product Development & coordinate all sample due dates and US fittings.

• 5+ years of experience in Technical Design building private label apparel products is a must

• Knowledge in women's apparel industry

• Track log & measure all fit samples

• Experience in building size scales grade specifications tech packs & CADs

• Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of US fittings & implement

• Passion for technical design & product development

• Understanding the plus size market with passion in making women feel confident is a plus

• Technical flat sketches skills is a plus

• Highly skilled in Adobe Illustrator and photoshop is a plus

• Knowledge in intimates seamless and Cut & Sew is a plus

Accountabilities

• Support TD/PD in all initiatives to improve Product Rating of 4+ stars and Fit as expected above 70% on average for all private label products with effective technical design processes

• PLM savvy (uploads/updates)

• Update current CADs based on PO (colorways construction details etc.)

• Manage the technical design process & sample/ fitting coordination in Asana

• Weekly updates reporting and following each task to ensure good quality and fit with on-time delivery

• Evaluate & Measure fit samples fittings

• Assist in-person live fittings for new development duplication refits and special projects for (full size run) size chart evaluation

• Update tech packs based on fit comments/PPM recap(s). Send tech pack revisions to the China team/Factory to implement.

• Daily updates on Development Chart & Asana for fitting stages & deadlines

• Attend weekly team meetings

• Work with design team to assist/update any packaging discrepancy

• Build strong and synergistic relationships with cross functional partners; Merchandising Marketing Technical PD and Production

• Lead and participate in company- wide brainstorming sessions for white space identification and concept/proposition development

• Deep dive into customer feedback to help provide innovations & enhancements on current assortment
