Technical Enablement Specialist
Job Description
Databricks is experiencing tremendous growth and we are looking for a Technical Enablement Manager to join our team.Â
The Technical Enablement team is responsible for enabling Databricks customer-facing technical field teams throughout their careers at Databricks via an engaging and effective onboarding and continuous learning program.Â
The Technical Enablement Program Manager role will play a strategic role in managing and designing our enablement programs. This includes the design, implementation and maintenance of various programs. This role will also support updating and maintaining our enablement roadmap and release calendar.
You will work closely with the Learning and Enablement PMO, as well as your peers, stakeholder from the field, and cross-functional teams. You will ensure the Field Engineering organization is equipped with the right content, resources, tools, and training to be able to differentiate the solution and engage with customers effectively.
An ideal candidate is passionate about training as well as technology, accountable, highly organized, and able to lead cross-functional projects. You think strategically and are adaptable to changing priorities to drive performance, productivity, and results via building strong relationships.
Outcomes
- Work with the technical enablement team to design, implement, and manage role-readiness programs to ensure new team members have the foundation for success at their job.
- Align with internal stakeholders to identify the knowledge and skills gaps and create training programs to address those gaps globally.
- Design scalable programs for continuous development and implement role-based training assets, tools, and assessments aligned with skills matrix and levels
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and gather existing learning content and repackage them as neededÂ
- Establish ongoing cross-functional collaboration with the broader enablement team, Product Managers, Product Marketing Managers, and other teams to ensure the field is trained and enabled in a timely manner with the required technical depth on Databricks solutions and products
- Define and track metrics to measure and report on the effectiveness of the programs conducted and periodically evaluate and improve programs based on feedback.
- Assess and analyze the learning needs based on the organization's strategic plans.
- Contribute to the technical enablement strategy by designing scalable programs and learning journeys in the Databricks learning management system

Competencies
- Minimum 5 years experience in designing and executing enablement programs including building learning paths and training curriculum and measuring enablement success
- 3-5 years of PM experience; preferably in technical enablementÂ
- Solid understanding of the enablement and training processes, and how to evangelize and roll out the programs effectively across the organization.
- Strong project management skills and customer focus
- Results- driven
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills
- Ability to break down concepts and clearly explain them to different audiences
- Thrives in fast-paced dynamic environment, able to manage competing priorities, and stay flexible through growth and change.
- Experience with learning management systems, content development tools, and virtual delivery platforms.
- Instructional design experience in building learning programs.
- Intermediate skills in the use of MS PowerPoint, Google Slides, Rapid Development Software (Captivate, Articulate Storyline etc.)
