Job Summary

The Technical Engineering Lead will be responsible for running the flagship Velocity Cloud commercial product line. This role includes overseeing architecture and design, migrating products from thick clients to the cloud, integrating mobile solutions, and developing cloud/FedRAMP-compliant offerings for customers. The Technical Engineering Lead will play a key role in managing the system development life cycle and collaborating with Quality Assurance and product management teams.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead the Velocity Cloud commercial product line, taking full ownership of its success and ensuring its continued growth and development.
  • Oversee architectural decisions and design strategies, ensuring they align with the product's goals and long-term vision.
  • Drive the transition of existing products from thick clients to cloud-based solutions, optimizing performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mobile solutions into the product line, enhancing its accessibility and user experience.
  • Develop and maintain cloud/FedRAMP-compliant solutions to meet the security and compliance needs of our customers.
  • Manage the entire system development life cycle, from concept to deployment, working closely with QA and product management teams.
  • Leverage your prior experience with commercially sold solutions to guide product development and market strategy.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team, ensuring that best practices are followed, and technical debt is addressed.
  • Help the team make sound technical decisions, ensure that the technical aspects of the project are on track, and participate in hands-on technical work.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous innovation within the product line.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as sales, marketing, and customer support to align product development with customer needs and market trends.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to establish testing procedures, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software.
  • Lead multiple projects concurrently, tracking progress, managing resources, and ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation of software systems, processes, and best practices.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance development processes to increase efficiency and product quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in software engineering and SDLC lifecycle management.
  • Minimum of 7 years of working experience with Rest API development and Microsoft Stack (e.g., C#, C, C++, .NET, REACT, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of the system development life cycle and agile methodologies.
  • Proven expertise in architecture and design of complex software systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully migrating products to cloud-based platforms.
  • Proven experience with commercially sold solutions and familiarity with the physical security industry is highly desired.
  • Proficiency in integrating mobile solutions into existing product lines.
  • Proven experience developing cloud/FedRAMP-compliant offerings.
  • Prior experience with commercially sold solutions is essential.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

At Identiv, we prioritize pay fairness. Your base salary plays a vital role in our comprehensive compensation structure, and it is established within a specific range. This structure allows for advancement as you gain experience and evolve in your role. Your salary and compensation will be determined based on various factors, including your geographical location, skill set, educational background, and work experience.

In the spirit of openness regarding compensation, the base salary range for this position is between $160,000-$180,000 annually.
