Description
Cerium Networks is seeking an experienced and dedicated leader to help lead and grow our deployment team, guide our development process, and mentor engineers to achieve their short- and long-term goals. This position reports to the VP of Engineering and is responsible for providing leadership and support for a team who is responsible for the daily activities of the implementation and support of the products and solutions we offer our customers. Oversees the performance of the team as well as the growth and development of engineers.
Ideal candidate will be reliable, a strong communicator, decisive, organized, professional and capable of handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced performance-oriented environment. Candidate will exemplify Cerium's core values of Drive, Development, Flexibility, Relentlessness and Collaboration. Must be a self-starter and effectively interact with customers, staff and management. Position requires independence and accountability as well as a cooperative effort. We are looking for someone who has successfully lead teams before.
Duties & Responsibilities
- You will manage a team of highly skilled engineers that operate across the Northwest.
- You'll be part of a peer group of Engineer Managers who help to guide the strategy and process of the Engineering team as a whole.
- Schedule, coach and organize work assignments and requests.
- Responsible for hiring, create training and development plans, managing performance of staff. Takes initiative to mentor and coach staff, encouraging them to enhance their personal and professional growth.
- Solicits ideas/suggestions from team for continuous process and customer service improvements.
- Key advisor to Senior Management in development and management of departmental and organizational processes and tools to promote company growth, quality, client satisfaction and fiscal strength.
- Pro-actively contacts Cerium's customers on a regular basis to determine customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- You have a passion for technology and have a fundamental knowledge of Information Technology
- You have demonstrated experience in leading, coaching and mentoring engineering teams to effectively deliver high quality solutions.
- You have experience developing people and teams through coaching, mentoring, and feedback and an enthusiasm for developing and growing people.
- You build trust and respect through good communication skills, openness to feedback, transparency, and accessibility
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- Minimum four years of functional management experience
- Demonstrated successful track record of leading, developing and coaching others
- Technical Certifications and experience with Avaya, Cisco, Microsoft, Dell EMC, Polycom technology solutions desired
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments to enable client success
Compensation
- Pay Range: $130,000 to $165,000
- Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
