Job Description

The Capital Area Division (CAD) of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a mid-level Technical Experimentation Analyst to manage scientific, engineering, and technical analysis of prospective and ongoing prototypes and demonstrations of emerging, innovative technologies across broad program portfolios, coordinating proposals, analysis, and funding recommendations across the Department of Defense and with other Government agencies, academia, and industry. This position is onsite at a Government location(s) in the National Capital Region (and telecommuting where approved).

This position requires a candidate with experience performing a variety of tasks to support Government leaders, providing:

  • Ability to synthesize vast amounts of complex technical data into senior executive level information
  • Experience with Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) processes and procedures related to supported tasks, including preparing technical briefs, presentations, packages, and DoD/Congressional-level correspondence
  • Experience preparing presentations and other visualization forms to communicate results and artifacts to varied audiences.
  • Experience in prototyping solutions, R&E modernization, and joint warfighting concepts

Required Qualifications:

  • BS degree in a relevant technical discipline
  • 4+ years of related experience in technology development and maturation and project management
  • Current top secret security clearance

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in PPBE, Presidential Budget, Congressional staffer briefs, and R-2 documentation (review/analysis and drafting)
  • Familiarity with the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS)
  • MS or MA degree in a relevant discipline
  • TS/SCI clearance (or DCID 6/4 eligibility within the last five (5) years)

This position is contingent upon award of a contract expected in November 2022 supporting a US Government customer.
