The Regulatory Technical Expert - is responsible to study government policy, regulation, standard which may effect on product detail design related to new energy vehicle, high voltage battery, Energy Storage System (ESS). He / She is also responsible to create regulation compliance tracking sheet to make sure product design team fully awareness of the requirements from regulation and standard aspects. The main missions of the role are to:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Study government policy, regulation, standard on new energy vehicle, ESS, battery related fields
• Track and create valid regulation, standard tracking sheet
• Create and manage design guidance and/or design rule which reflect to latest valid regulation requirements
• Participate in Gotion product solution robustness discussion, and to make sure policy regulation, standard are properly covered in design
• Effective communication and close work with cert test team to have good understanding regulation actual implementation tips
• Organize meeting and regularly share latest regulation information related to battery and its sub-components
• Participate in product cert test, FMEA review
• Act as a liaison between product design team and cert team team and provide expertise advice
• Perform other tasks cascaded by supervisors and or above level;

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor degree or above, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Computer, Automation engineering
• Familiar with new energy vehicle, ESS, battery policy, regulation, standard is a plus
• Strong hands on engineering experience on high voltage battery system design, mechanical structure design, electrical design, thermal management system design, battery management system design, CAD/CAE simulation is a plus
• Proven experience to write design rule/guidance, engineering specification is a plus
• Minimum 8 years auto industry working experience; new energy vehicle related is a plus
• Good oral, written and presentation English communication skill;
• Good engineering mindset. Familiar with G8D, FMEA, MSA is a plus
• Have a flexibility to take other engineering position role if necessary
• Willing to travel to customer site frequently if necessary .         
• Good project management skill
• Good teamwork; Willing to coach and share experience to others
• Fully understand and abide the contents of Code of Conduct distributed by Gotion

For this position, the reasonably expected pay range is between $­­­­ 70,000and $ 90,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
