Job Description

THE ROLE: 

Acceleration Partners is seeking a Technical Implementation Specialist to support our growing roster of clients. This role will be responsible for providing guidance and support to clients, helping them troubleshoot technical challenges, such as issues with their tracking or integration with a new network or platform. The Technical Implementation Specialist will also be responsible for being a subject matter expert in the tracking capabilities of our network and platform partners and will have a knack for being able to quickly identify technical issues and provide a recommended solution.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years in a digital, ecommerce environment and experience in understanding the technical side of how digital campaign data is tracked. In addition, this person will have experience and understanding of how mobile app tracking and attribution works across digital channels and is actively engaged in the digital landscape as it relates to shifts that can impact performance tracking for our clients. Lastly, this person will be a self-starter, ready to jump in and solve problems – and proactively make their services available and known to our Client Services teams.


TOP 5 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. CLIENT TROUBLESHOOTING– Step in as a subject matter expert to help troubleshoot technical issues that clients may experience with their affiliate program tracking. Communicate with client and account teams effectively via calls and email, providing guidance on what the potential technical issue could be and recommendations on how to remedy. Support technical issues through resolution, checking in often to ensure a solution has been found and implemented. 
  2. LAUNCH INTEGRATION SUPPORT – Support technical questions and provide guidance on web-based pixel and mobile app tracking to clients as they launch a new affiliate program. Work alongside Client Onboarding and network/platform partners to ensure the technical implementation stays on track with expected timelines and parameters align with the data needs of the client. Support technical questions from new clients related to UTM parameters, product data feed implementations and API’s as needed.
  3. NETWORK EXPERTISE – Build and maintain relationships with technical integration teams within our network and platform partnerships. Take initiative to understand the technical integration requirements for each network and platform partner, in addition to any technical tools or features our clients can use to increase efficiencies within their affiliate program.
  4. SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT – Stay informed of new attribution and tracking technologies available within the ecommerce industry. Keep a pulse on any new laws or updates from major search engines or mobile players that may impact our clients tracking or how affiliate marketing performance is attributed within the networks. Proactively share out potential impacts to tracking with the client services teams, along with recommendations on how to address with their clients.
  5. GENERAL SUPPORT – As requested, support ad hoc technical asks that support the wider client services team. As clients migrate from one network or platform to another, set-up tracking sheets on behalf of the account team to ensure we’re effectively tracking the progress of partners as they migrate. Keeps ear open and monitors client headlines and shared Slack channels for client related technical issues, proactively answering questions or offering account teams your time to help troubleshoot or support client technical issues.

 

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE: 

BY 3 MONTHS… The Tech Implementation Specialist will have developed a process for teams to submit tech support on behalf of their clients, along with a place to track progress for each client supported. This person will have shadowed and participated in at least 5 new client launches, providing technical advice and answering technical questions as needed. Members of the Client Services team are actively aware of the ways in which the Tech Implementation Specialist can support them.

BY 6 MONTHS… The Tech Implementation Specialist will have established relationships with the technical teams for each of our network and platform partners, along with a strong understanding of the tracking capabilities for each. Account teams are proactively reaching out to the Tech Implementation Specialist for support as soon as a technical issue arises with their client. This person will be proactively researching and sharing out relevant tech updates with the wider team that may impact tracking or performance for our client programs. This person will have an internal support satisfaction rating of 4 or higher and a client onboarding happiness score of 8 or higher.

  • Know how to collaborate with team members in a remote environment while also working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Are comfortable with some ambiguity that comes along with high growth business.
  • Possesses the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: 

  • 1-2 years of digital, e-commerce, or affiliate marketing experience
  • Experience with how pixel tracking and data collection processes work (server to server, FTP, API, etc)
  • Experience with mobile app tracking and MMP’s such as Appsflyer, Kochava, etc.
  • Experience with digital attribution platforms such as Google Analytics, Looker, etc.
  • Knowledge of affiliate networks and SaaS platforms (Impact, ShareASale, CJ, etc.), a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to travel when needed to team meetings
  • Advanced Excel capabilities and comfortable with formatting, formulas, customizing reports, etc. Smartsheet experience, a plus
  • Working knowledge of HTML, a plus

LOCATION:

The Technical Implementation Specialist position is a remote, work from home position, as are all positions at Acceleration Partners (a structure central to our culture and our vision to change the work/life paradigm). Some travel is required for client meetings or other internal meetings, conferences, etc.
