Job Summary
-Lead and drive the engineering team to deliver on time product releases meeting the maturity requirements of the project
-Technical leadership towards resolution of complex issues within or that span engineering functional disciplines
-Providing one face to customer and R&D leadership for all project technical content
-Track status of engineering deliverables, report out to management, escalate topics when necessary
- Plan, Assign, & Prioritize engineering activities on your project
--Raise resource/competence gaps through escalation
- Raise blocking points on teams ability to deliver through escalation

Core Responsibilities
Planning
Plan Technical Work packages (Content/Schedule/Quality)
Keep Situational awareness (Big Picture / Critical Path)
Identify downstream impacts of delays / issues

Risk Management
Look ahead and identify potential roadblocks / issues before they occur
Evaluate risks based on impacts (severity), occurrence (likelihood)
Identify risks early, implement mitigation plans, and communicate

Tracking/Reporting/Communication
Monitor and communicate engineering project status
Always ready to clearly and succinctly report project status/risks/issues/plan to solve
Clearly document and communicate technical issues, impacts, root causes, recovery plans

Technical Problem Solving & Root Cause Expert
Champion for Safety/Quality/Performance of Product
Resolution of complex issues that span engineering functional disciplines

Decision Making
Timely / Systematic / Logical / Data Driven / Risk Aware
Consider and rate alternatives
Always have recommendation and data to back up

Escalation
Solve problems as effectively and efficiently as possible
Involve support (escalate) as needed to ensure project success
Always bring clear description of issue, options to solve, and specific request
Clearly communicate impacts from decisions or actions taken

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering, computer science or equivalent degree
- 5 + years experience in Engineering Role
- Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Willingness to build professional relationships with staff and clients.
- Excellent communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
- Good leadership skills with proven track record of leading teams or as a subject matter expert.

Preferred Qualifications:• Bachelor's Degree in EE, ME, CSE or CE• Customer Fronting experience • Previous Automotive or Software Development Experience • Led a team previously in Systems, Software, Algo, Test, Mechanical or Electrical Domains
