We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to drive the development of cross-platform peer-to-peer applications within a cutting-edge, distributed engineering environment. In this role, you will:

• Act as the primary technical liaison between internal engineering teams and external platform partners.
• Lead knowledge-sharing sessions to ensure the team stays updated on evolving technologies.
• Design and maintain cross-platform desktop (Electron) and mobile (React Native) applications that operate fully peer-to-peer.
• Translate product requirements into clear, modular, and scalable technical architectures aligned with upstream frameworks.
• Guide the development of performant, user-friendly features for messaging, file sharing, video calls, and collaborative tools.
• Mentor and support engineers in day-to-day development, code reviews, and testing best practices.
• Coordinate documentation, feedback, and releases between internal teams and external contributors to the open-source ecosystem.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with production-level React Native and/or Electron applications.
• Strong experience in modular codebases and creating reusable npm modules.
• Proven experience leading small development teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Solid knowledge of Node.js, modern JavaScript/TypeScript, and asynchronous programming concepts.
• Hands-on experience with local-first applications, local data models, and data synchronization techniques.
• Familiarity with end-to-end encryption, secure local storage, and cross-platform deployment.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative open-source workflows.
• Excellent English communication skills for remote collaboration across global teams.

Bonus qualifications:

• Experience with mobile application stores, browser stores, or desktop stores.
• Prior contributions to open-source projects or peer-to-peer application ecosystems.
• Deep understanding of secure, decentralized systems and event-sourced architectures.
