About the Role

As a Technical Lead, you will serve in a multi-pronged role that will span variety of functions concentrated around furthering innovation and automation of Marketing and Business Development tools and processes. Primarily, you will be designing, building, enhancing and maintaining APEX web applications that enable Sales-Marketing collaboration and related business outcomes. Additionally, as a lead, you will be responsible for organizing the strategy around automation tools, gathering requirements from non-technical users, influencing build vs re-use vs modify decisions and maintaining development schedules.

More specifically you will (among other things):
  • Influence long term strategic plan for technical innovation and collaboration in support of Marketing and Program Development initiatives
  • Develop and maintain Apex applications for the MPD organization, and other groups, with strong emphasis on user functionality, UI/UX design and performance
  • Drive technical decisions around development and adoption of marketing and financial modeling tools
  • Gather and clarify requirements from business users across the organization, complete user stories, estimate development schedules and prioritize deliverables
  • Ensure relevant tools, systems, and processes are built - and remain - functional, and maintain appropriate documentation for current and future projects
  • Track and analyze usage to drive application enhancements
  • Consult and guide team members interested in adopting APEX as a low-code dev platform

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of hands-on, full time Oracle Apex development experience (version 19.1 or higher)
  • Bachelor's degree/or relevant recent certification in related field
  • Demonstrated VBA, SQL, PL/SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and database design skills
  • Design and coding capabilities (front/back end)
  • Experience building RESTful APIs
  • Solid project management skills with the ability to manage to and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating a high degree of resourcefulness and persistence.
  • Ability to establish subject matter credibility and buy-in often with team members with higher organizational authority
  • Competence in mentoring and directing more junior peers
  • Experience working solo or in teams and navigating a large, multi-national corporation; nimble and resilient in the face of organizational change
  • Critical thinking skills - facility to identify potential problems and opportunities in a proactive, efficient manner.
  • Strong productivity software skills, primarily MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
