Job Description
Do you have a passion for sustainability? This external-facing role will support our go-to-market, focusing on advancing our current new offerings and identifying new technologies and partnerships tied to sustainable value creation. Partnerships include end-users, equipment builders, complementary technology, new business models, technology incubation/start-ups, associations, universities, and government entities.
This candidate will be an experienced strategic business developer with expertise in building clear growth plans within the region in close collaboration with the global sustainability function, leveraging our current value propositions and fostering new ideas and opportunities for collaboration to address new markets or strengthen current ones. Be the regional subject matter expert, the go-to person for our customer sustainability strategic growth pillar.

Work on strategic ad-hoc customer pursuits that will have a lasting impact on sustainability.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for leading our customer sustainability strategy related to products and services.
2. Developing, designing, or creating new applications, ideas, systems, or products.
3. Work closely with the BU to launch, promote and drive RA sustainability offerings across segments.
4. Responsible for driving AOP targets related to upcoming new offerings linked to sustainability and reaching relevant industry AOP targets (for example Renewable Energy, Water, Wastewater)
5. Identify pilots, based on 1-3 strategic focus areas, to showcase new sustainability / ESG disruptive industry solutions.
6. Engage the sales team and consult/support strategic pursuits to enable the customers' sustainability-focused outcomes.
7. Responsible for understanding customer data and insights to recommend changes or additions to scope that can improve the outcomes a customer can obtain.
8. Foster a teaming environment with Sales, Delivery, and Distributor team members on behalf of customers. Collaborate with team members to ensure an optimal customer experience.
9. Works with the Product and Marketing teams to facilitate research, and user testing, and acts as a key partner. Provide feedback to the portfolio team to ensure customer feedback is built into service offerings.
10. High energy, driven, and enthusiastic about opportunities to establish and implement new approaches in technology and sustainability.
11. Identify new partnership and business model opportunities.
12. Help coordinate/drive collaboration both regionally and globally
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or other related technical fields.
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
Preferred Qualifications
- 12+ years of customer-facing experience, preferably in sales, marketing, or sales enablement on industrial control/information solutions/services/products and consulting in Digital Transformation and Sustainability/ESG.
- Subject matter expertise: Energy, water, waste/circular economy.
- Experience in AI/ML solutions.
- Strong communication skills.
- Masters or Ph.D. Degree, ideally focusing on sustainability and/or AI/ML.
- Passionately committed to sustainability.
- Entrepreneurial drive and a "make it happen" attitude.
- Good understanding of technical, business operations, and legal implications of new technological solutions.
- Understanding of Rockwell Automation portfolio and extended network
- Strong knowledge and ability to perform key steps in complex selling and business development cycles.
- In-depth understanding of markets and channels globally.
- Capability to work dynamically and collaboratively across multiple teams and projects in a technical business environment.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
