Technical Lead- Data Analyst
Job Description
This role will be a key member of Client Identity and Access Management – Fraud Threat Intelligence team responsible for building and enhancing applications and analytical capabilities. A successful candidate is a motivated self-starter with an aptitude for learning new skills and environments quickly while being able to manage more than one high-priority deliverable.
Be responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting application software that is delivered on time and within budget. Work closely with business teams, Anti-Fraud, Anti-Money Laundering and project teams to understand business requirements, drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions that are aligned with business and technology strategies, and comply with the organization's architectural standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the Ameriprise Client Digital Threat landscape.
- Attend Fraud Discovery sessions, analyze the frauds, and produce Security controls to prevent frauds
- Move the security events data into security data lakes
- Simplify security data infrastructure with a single source of truth across customer demographics, transaction data and 3rd party data
- Leverage ML models to build predictive analytics and risk models that uncover possible ATO fraud or money laundering
- Minimize errors and false positives that worsen the customer digital experience
- Implement controls with risk analytics, anomaly detection and pattern recognition.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 6-9 years of proven experience in Data EngineeringÂ
- At least 2+ years of experience on AWS Cloud
- Strong understanding in data warehousing principals and data modeling
- Experience with AI/ML Ops – model build through implementation lifecycle in AWS Cloud environment and/or Snowflake
- Expert with SQL including knowledge of advanced query optimization techniques - build queries and data visualizations to support business use cases/analytics.
- Proven experience on the AWS environment including access governance, infrastructure changes and implementation of CI/CD processes to support automated development and deployment
- Proven experience with software tools including Pyspark and Python, PowerBI, QuickSight and core AWS tools such as Lambda, RDS, Cloudwatch, Cloudtrail, SNS, SQS, etc.
- Hands-on experience on Snowflake, Snowsight, Snowpark, Snowpipe, SnowQL
- Experience building services/APIs on AWS Cloud environment.
- Data ingestion and curation as well as implementation of data pipelines.
- Experience working and leading vendor partner (on- and off-shore) resources.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Informatica/ETL technology.
- Experience in DevOps and microservices would be preferred.
- Experience in Financial industry a plus.
