PURPOSE
This position is responsible for providing solutions to improve processes, or solve complex technical issues. Strong skills are required on understanding, designing and implementing new technologies across the enterprise.
JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)
- Provides technical thought leadership and architecture for the Global Network & Telecommunications
- Operate, maintain, and support a secure network infrastructure, utilizing industry best practices and components.
- Provide guidance, system architecture, and design activities for existing network components.
- Simplify and streamline telecommunications security posture in order to strike a balance between security and operational excellence.
- Support ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulation) design practices in order to ensure network compliance.
- Support the Lincoln Electric business by creating and streamlining firewall rules in order to implement new network applications.
- Recognized as an expert and advisor with in-depth and/or breadth of knowledge within own discipline AND broad knowledge of other disciplines within the function
- Architects recovery procedures, scheduling and back-ups and monitors batch processes
- Support the business by eliciting system requirements, planning, and implementing major product upgrades on both hardware and software. Design presentations to management concerning technical issues and upgrades
- Lead projects / teams comprised of IT technical experts and business representatives
- Drive automation projects to decrease management time and increase operating efficiency
- Develop metric reporting to monitor stability and risk to identify areas for improvement
- Provide Systems Maintenance request and test plans for cross platform projects. This includes making recommendations for standards, patching, performance tuning, and security best practices.
- Quickly spot trends and accurately predict future requirements on assigned platforms
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts by leveraging data, end user feedback, and team work.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company's 2025 Strategy.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or equivalent relevant experience
- 6-10 years of experience in supporting and designing Enterprise network environments
- Proven experience in supporting Palo Alto firewalls
- Configuration management, able to design, implement, and support
- Highly motivated, self-starter, customer centric, and the ability to work without supervision
- Designing best practices around network security, vulnerabilities, and recommendations for appropriate actions

- Demonstrates flexibility in responding to unexpected demands. Contributes willingly during emergencies and other necessary situations during and/or after regular work hours. This position requires night and weekend work along with on-call
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge supporting Z-Scaler environments is a plus
- Selected candidate's Job Level and Pay Grade will be determined based upon qualifications and experience.
