PURPOSE: This position is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the network infrastructure for the organization's Information Technology.

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)
  • Provides technical thought leadership and architecture for the LAN/WAN Team. Participates and contributes to continuous improvement activities.
  • Specializes in one or more of the following areas of network technologies: Route/Switch, Distribution, Security, Data Center, and/or Wireless.
  • Works on complex projects to design, implement, and support production environments and new solutions.
  • Engineers, installs, and tests new network infrastructure equipment; including network switches, routers, infrastructure cabling, and wireless LAN equipment.
  • Designs and implements physical and cloud-based network security equipment and OT environments.
  • Acts to resolve technical issues including network down, intrusion, and performance. Must consistently demonstrate advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Implements monitoring and reporting solutions to manage network performance and availability.
  • Assists leadership team in quote preparation, capital requests, and procurement.
  • Performs root cause analysis, risk identification, and risk mitigation.
  • Respond to, troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate network related incidents and problems.
  • Keeps current on network technology issues through seminars, publications and self-education on an ongoing basis.
  • Direct projects / teams comprised of IT technical experts and business representatives.
  • Provide Systems Maintenance request and test plans. This includes making recommendations for standards.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company's 2025 Strategy.


BASIC REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or equivalent relevant experience
  • 6-10 years of supporting and designing enterprise networks and technologies
  • Strong hands on experience with fundamental LAN/WAN/WLAN technologies (Cisco, SD-WAN, etc)
  • Solid understanding of network security and monitor its implementation
  • Experienced in network design and migrations in large enterprise environments, implementing advanced, complex, secure networks including wireless and remote access
  • Proven experience in creating and setting standards for network stability, monitoring, and operations
  • Network Segmentation (NAC) experience preferred (multiple vendors)
  • Cisco Certifications CCNP or higher a plus, and strong Cisco ISE knowledge preferred
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, customer centric, and the ability to work without supervision
  • Demonstrates flexibility in responding to unexpected demands. Contributes willingly during emergencies and other necessary situations during and/or after regular work hours. This position requires night and weekend work along with on call rotations
