The Compliance Technology team at Point72 develops surveillance, monitoring and reporting tools to ensure that the firm adheres to the highest standards for ethical conduct and professionalism. We develop and maintain a variety of products that interface with many different areas of the business including research, execution and risk.

What you’ll do
This role will focus on full-stack development across Compliance Technology’s entire product suite. Primary responsibilities will include:
• Server-side software development using Java and NodeJS
• Front-end software development using ReactJS and AngularJS
• Processing and storing data using SQL and NOSQL databases
• Working with various streaming, cloud, and containerized technologies
• Contributing to discussions and decisions about application architecture
• Liaising with other Technology teams across Point72
What’s required
The ideal candidate for this role will be a self-starter with experience across all tiers of software development who has the following skills:
• Proficiency with Java 8 and Spring
• Experience with ReactJS or AngularJS
• Experience with SQL
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with Groovy is preferred
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ or Solace is preferred
• Experience building containerized microservices is preferred
• Experience with any of the following is desirable: KDB+/Q, Python, Bash, Tableau
• Excellent analytical and design skills
• Knowledge of overall finance as it relates to hedge funds is desirable but not mandatory
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards
