The team you'll be part of

MN RF Verification is responsible for Nokia 5G products' RF integration and verification. In this global unit, we are creating verification capability to drive unified testing strategy and enabling efficient product development with the R&D unit(s). Our target is to harmonize I&V process and WoW across sites and locations globally. There are more than 700 professionals working in RF Verification globally and we aim to develop a world-class R&D operation in terms of efficiency, competencies, quality, innovation, team spirit, simplicity, and accountability.

Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

MN RF Verification is looking for a technical leader participating in the reliability testing and qualification of cellular base stations.

As part of our team, you will:


Support the design and development of base stations by testing system long term reliability. The position will partner with R&D during new product development and continue to support products throughout the lifecycle. The focus in hardware reliability testing is on unit and module level hardware reliability verification.

Main Tasks include:

- provide technical reliability support direction to cross discipline program personnel

- perform reliability analyses (consult on de-rating/stress analysis, failure modes and effects analysis, and create reliability predictions/MTBF calculations) as applicable

- participate in Failure Review meetings to discuss details of failures and failure trending

- interface with R&D and failure analysis teams providing support with fault analysis processes

- writing program specific test plans/documentation

- writing test reports and regular reporting to reliability/design teams on testing progress

Your skills and experience

- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Telecommunications

- 5-10 years' experience as an RF Engineer or RF Test Engineer and experience with reliability predictions/MTBF calculations, reliability modelling, reliability test theory and design, DFMEA.

- experience tracking/reporting metrics and gathering and analyzing data from various sources

- experience working in a cross functional team/matrixed environment

You have:

- Fluent in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Office

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills

- Technical leadership and program management experience

- Should be a good planner and organizer

It would be nice if you also had:
-Programming ability in python, or similar for testing, data acquisition, and analysis.

- 4G/5G RF Test Experience
