Technical Manager

DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled and supportive Technical Manager to join our team, focusing on Product Development and Engineering within our Product/Design Engineering department in Scoresby, Melbourne (VIC). This is a 12-month contract role, offering an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your career in a dynamic and innovative environment.

In this role, you will:

• Lead and nurture the growth of technically capable teams across various locations, meeting business needs and achieving key goals.
• Serve as a mentor and coach, guiding team members in resolving complex challenges and supporting their career development.
• Oversee resource allocation and project prioritization to enhance project delivery, aligning efforts with business objectives.
• Champion improvements in work processes and systems, empowering global teams to make informed, timely decisions.
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of product development, verification, and validation activities.
• Lead ISO 9000 audits, manage engineering specifications, and oversee product lifecycle management (PLM) processes to ensure quality and compliance.

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM field (Master's preferred for certain roles).
• Experience leading technical teams or projects, ideally within a product development or technology setting.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complexity in technical and business environments.
• Experience with project management and collaborative teamwork, including resource management, stakeholder communication, and decision-making.
• Familiarity with product verification, validation processes, and technical documentation.
• A commitment to fostering team growth, promoting collaboration, and driving performance through mentorship and leadership.

• Specification and configuration management of engineering specs in Movex, COLS and other systems
• Lead & manage the ISO 9000 audit
• Lead and create the standard operating procedure documents & manage One APAC Engineering Home page on SharePoint
• Lead engineering projects and initiatives
• Lead Quantum SAP deployment and manage PLM and liquid planner processes
• Work closely with stakeholders for updating pricing of all the engine specs as required
• Lead and work closely with Inventor data migration and configuration in PLM for off highway products
