THE OPPORTUNITY

Can you imagine diving into the development of our pioneering browser-based 3D application that produces high-quality photorealistic digital twins?  

You will become a critical part of our product-centric, cross-functional IVION development department of 20 software engineers and four QA engineers working in squads on NavVis IVION, which runs in any modern web browser as it is based on open standards. Try it out yourself here.  

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• You will be leading a team of 7 engineers (Java/TypeScript and C++ developers) embedded in the IVION development department, effectively managing execution and performance of the team; keeping the team motivated while also ensuring their growth through mentorship  
• You will drive engineering efficiency and operational excellence within your teams while also having the opportunity to technically contribute to the team’s scope and implement high quality solutions to complex customer problems 
• You will ensure the team’s success by ensuring the right processes are in place, facilitating efficient communication and partnering with key stakeholders across the organization  
• You will set correct priorities and take full ownership of the team’s efficient execution of initiatives, ensuring timely and quality delivery of projects and tasks while removing roadblocks 
• You will foster an engineering culture of trust, ownership, and collaboration within the team & NavVis

WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THE ROLE

• A university degree in a relevant field of study (e.g. computer science, engineering, sciences)  
• Significant software engineering experience (6+ years) with extensive hands-on development experience (Java and ideally TypeScript, C++) 
• Previous experience (2-3 years) leading high-performing engineering teams in the successful delivery of complex software projects 
• Experience in hiring and building diverse engineering teams, attracting top talent, and fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment. 
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
