It also includes working with Sales, Marketing and Support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The TME's job also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals. Primary roles are insuring customer qualification of new products, testing onsite with customers and validating products.

Technical documentation creation and development is a crucial function as part of the NPI process. Training of customers on new products will also be a major requirement. It is expected the successful candidate for the role possesses relevant product lifecycle, industry and market expertise to translate ATX product and market strategy into financial results.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

The following duties outline, but do not limit, the regular position requirements. These may be revised from time to time as business conditions dictate, at the discretion of the Manager.

  • Assist in development of Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) which include:
    • Product overview and use cases
    • Requirements, including:
      • functional, physical, environment, technical
      • security, network, platform, integration, client
      • support, interoperability

    • Assumptions, Constraints, Dependencies
    • Test plans, customer test requirements, product introduction plans

  • Work with external third parties to assess partnerships, testing and integration;
  • Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product, including training, testing, and customer qualification requirements;
  • Perform product demos and training to customers and internal ATX staff;
  • Represent ATX at customer briefings, technology, and partner forums;
  • Work in concert with Engineering to develop product specs and requirements;
  • Support Marketing in developing technical product specifications, product operational guides and technical bulletins, product training documentation, sales tools, whitepapers and collateral;
  • Act as a leader within the company;

  • Execute all responsibilities in an ethical manner consistent with statutory requirements and company policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidates will possess the following:

  • 10+ years relevant experience in the Cable industry MSO and/or Vendor, with a specific focus on DOCSIS, RF and Optical products
  • MSO technical operations management or corporate engineering experience is a plus.
  • Strong ability to support sales, listen to customer requirements and problems and provide guidance to position existing products or take away and analyze those requirements towards developing a business case for new products and features.
  • A solid technical understanding of translating individual product specification to end-to-end System design and performance specifications.
  • Familiarity with DOCSIS, RF and optical test measurement techniques.
  • Experience and understanding DOCSIS 3.1 & 4.0 specifications and relation to stated products is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching leading-edge products;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority;
  • Must be able to travel 25% of the time;
  • Interpersonal skills, supporting the ability to work with diverse personalities, build effective relationships and interact appropriately and effectively at all levels of the organization and externally;
  • Superior communication skills, the ability to communicate inside and outside the organization, to persuade, negotiate and/or instruct both orally and in writing;
  • Results oriented with the ability to recognize, balance and support the organization's preferences, other business considerations and priorities;
  • Technology & computer skills for reporting, communications and presentations;
  • Demonstrates strong business acumen and communications expertise in dealing with ATX suppliers, senior level executives and investors;
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities.

TRAVEL

  • This position may require some travel within North America & International.
