What You’ll Do

The Technical Marketing Manager position is responsible for understanding, consolidating and driving solutions in the automotive industry with a focus on CMOS image sensor technologies. You will work closely with engineering and marketing teams etc. to enable customer design wins.

The Automotive Imaging Technical Marketing Manager will lead technical engagements with OEM customers and Tier 1 partners to define key technology requirements and drive solutions in conjunction with HQ Marketing, Engineering, and Ecosystem Partners.

Automotive Imaging Technical Marketing Manager will also lead benchmarking activities to understand the target customer and competitive landscape, set/refine strategies and tactics, drive necessary recommendations and influence roadmaps to ensure Samsung continues to stay in leadership position.

Additionally, Automotive Imaging Technical Marketing Manager will support Business Development activities for new customers with the goal of securing new business and also exploring differentiated solutions through strategic collaboration with key partners.

Location: Onsite at our Auburn Hills, MI office

  • Develop and build deep trust-based relationships with automotive OEM and Tier 1 customers to understand their automotive camera, sensing products, technology needs, application requirements and define the best solutions
  • Work with customer and partner teams to map requirements to existing product offerings, identify potential gaps, and help drive internal development teams to address technology needs and deliver product solutions
  • Work with the internal development teams to align on upcoming product/scaling trends and set competitive product targets and differentiated roadmaps
  • Enable platform solutions with Technology, Marketing, Ecosystem and Design Services partners. This includes any new potential partnerships with both Internal and External teams
  • Conduct market and competitor research with the goal of publishing regular analysis and benchmarking reports. Support technology promotions and outbound activities
  • Actively engage in Business Development activities by working with cross-functional teams across Engineering and Marketing teams to secure customer design-wins

What You Bring

  • BA/BS degree, Masters Degree or MBA preferred with 5+ years of product development or product marketing, preferably in automotive industry
  • 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following domains:
    • CMOS image sensors
    • Automotive imaging or sensing system
    • Camera modules
    • Computer Vision
    • ADAS product development/engineering/pre-sales
  • Experience in Automotive segments requirements including reliability and functional safety
  • Team-player with the ability to work across diverse cross-functional teams (Engineering, Sales and Marketing)
  • Proven ability on competitive benchmarking and analysis
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with both technology- and business-centric teams
  • Ability to travel (~10%)
