What You Will Do:

  • Material planning and replenishment, material requirements planning (MRP) module in ERP (Oracle), rolling forecasts, optimized Inventory management and customs clearance.
  • Interviews, selects, and negotiates with vendors/ supplier.
  • Works closely on a daily basis with all parties involved to coordinate requirements along the MFG/ assembly / RMA process.
  • Help ensure high service and quality levels that align to the negotiated terms of the supplier contract.
  • Coordinates with purchasing, production, warehouse and engineering personnel to ensure proper scheduling and movement of materials.
  • Maintains accurate records of inventories to ensure that sufficient levels of raw materials are maintained (Directs/Equipment).
  • Support as lead for technical / quality issues among suppliers and clients.
  • Follow up of corrective and preventive actions as needed.
  • Develop and implement warranties plans suited to each customer.
  • Drives the ChampionX strategy for procurement of direct materials through the development of strategic business relationships domestically and globally where necessary.
  • Responsible for selecting suppliers and negotiating competitive/favorable pricing.
  • Has authority to issue purchase agreements, blanket orders, and purchase orders within corporate purchasing policy.
  • In collaboration with supply chain. finance, logistics, research & development, & marketing/sales, ensures security of supply and total delivered cost improvements in alignment with business goals.
  • Supports the identification and qualification of new sources in collaboration with R&D.
  • Establish, publish and distribute daily production plans to optimize product sequencing for internally / externally produced items.
  • Utilize timely and effective communication of & provide daily updates to advise both internal and external personnel regarding master production schedule and open order status exceptions, identifying appropriate re-planning and/or recommended courses of action to minimize non-conformances.
  • Analyze previous schedules for deviations and determine how future deviations can be prevented.
  • Notify appropriate parties and drive corrective action for inventory discrepancy resolution.
  • Effectively communicate, collaborating with internal plant personnel, planning, and Supply Chain management
  • Balance several priorities at one time to effectively multi-task throughout the day
  • Execute the purchasing plan by converting purchase requisitions to purchase orders.
  • Work with suppliers / internal customers to meet plan delivery date and quantity requirements to optimize service, inventory, and cost.
  • Utilize timely and effective communication of issues in purchasing materials.
  • Expected to be a critical thinker to drive process improvements by developing and integrating best practices across multiple functions and strategic sourcing teams.

Minimum Qualification:

  • BSc in Engineering, Supply Chain (or equivalent)
  • 3 years' experience in Procurement / Planning / Supply Chain
  • Must be an US Citizen
  • Strong experience on ERP systems. (Oracle is a plus)
  • Knowledge on thermography, specifically Optical Gas Imaging

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supply Chain Certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge on Logistics and compliance
  • Data Management is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and time management skills
  • Ability to plan and organize effectively to meet the demands of the business.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales and customer service.
