As a Technical Operations Expert - CF you will manage or perform work across multiple areas of the organization's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration of IT Systems Software, Hardware, and Databases, Data & Voice Networks, Data Processing Operations, End User Technology & Software Support Conducts cost/benefit analyses for proposed IT projects as input to the organization's IT roadmap.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Provide in-depth engineering knowledge of Windows Server Operating System (2003 through 2022) - CIS Baseline, Local and AD GPO policies, Firewall Rules, Security Patching, Monitoring Thresholds, Automation, Benchmarks, Build and Release Management.
• Provide expert knowledge of scripting with PowerShell and other languages.
• Provide expert knowledge of server deployment technology (vRA, MDT, SCCM) - Implementation and management.
• Provide expert knowledge of Windows operating system lifecycle and Standards - Architecture and Design in compliance with IT quality and security standards and regulations.
• Provide expert knowledge of virtual technologies (AWS, Azure, Vmware) - Server build integration and related Windows OS support.
• Provide top level engineering support and leadership to global operational support team - Projects, Training, Documentation, Coordination and Escalation.
• Delivering IT services, systems and applications to the business.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
• 5 Years of relevant experience.
• Advanced and demonstrated experience as a Windows Server Engineer - Operating System Design. (Not only operational support)
• Advanced and demonstrated experience with PowerShell scripting.

HOW YOU CAN THRIVE AT ALCON:

• Ensuring appropriate response to audit / ISRM assessment findings and recommendations.
• Ensuring accurate provisioning and metering of services.
• Ensuring that an up-to-date asset inventory for all technology assets is maintained and only authorized components are used.
• Coordinating all configuration management database changes which directly or indirectly affects production services.
• Ensuring addition, modification or removal of any IT asset in a standard and controlled manner.
• Ensuring that servers (CIs) are identified, accounted, reported, verified and audited.
