Technical Procurement Lead
Job Description
Hudson River Trading (HRT) is looking for a Technical Procurement Lead to join the Enterprise Technology organization. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic management of our software, hardware, and enterprise applications used by HRTers globally. You will partner with IT management to procure and deliver critical technical solutions and assist in improving business operations and workflows.
You will lead global strategic initiatives and shape our policies and procedures for software and hardware procurement, logistics, and by extension software and contract asset management. Situated in a highly visible and high-impact role, you will have the opportunity to build new processes and procedures and participate in a dynamic, changing industry.
Responsibilities
- Partner with our vendors and purchasing group to drive the planning, procurement, and management of company-wide enterprise software and hardware assets
- Lead our asset management function which includes the management of our IT Asset Manager
- Work with Enterprise Technology leadership to plan and budget our IT vendor and hardware spend
- Negotiate new contracts, as well as renewals, to ensure HRT is spending money on software applications intelligently, and that conditions and renewal dates align with the team and HRT’s needs
- Evaluate, implement, and manage a new contract, vendor, and SaaS management solution to better holistically evaluate software spend
- Work with various departments to catalog all existing applications used internally, their costs, and renewal dates
- Assess and determine if HRT has the software and systems we need, and whether there are better solutions or vendors that would meet team and company needs
- Oversee vendor contract management, statements of work, requests for proposals, and everything in between
- Collaborate closely with our Accounting and Finance teams regarding software and vendor audits, invoices, and reconciliation and license counts
- Ensure that contracts and current and future vendor relationships follow HRT-specific vendor guidelines meeting Security and Legal requirements
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience managing software/application logistics life cycles, including overseeing budget planning and purchasing
- Experience handling domestic and international vendor relationships to maximize value creation and costs for software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings
- Experience with a SaaS management solution such as Oomnitza, Productiv, Vendr, Torii, Zluri, etc.
- Experience analyzing information for budgeting, software compliance, and cost comparisons
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to create and improve processes within a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Annual base salary range of $150,000 to $225,000. Pay (base and bonus) may vary depending on job-related skills and experience. A sign-on and discretionary performance bonus may be provided as part of the total compensation package, in addition to company-paid medical and/or other benefits.
