Job Description
At MNTN, we’ve built a culture based on quality, trust, ambition, and accountability – but most importantly, we really enjoy working here. We pride ourselves on our self-service platform, originally coded by our President and CEO, and are constantly seeking to improve the user experience for our customers and scale for efficiency. Our startup spirit powers our growth mindset and supports our teammates as they build the future of ConnectedTV. We’re looking for people who naturally want to do more, own more, and make an impact in their careers – and we’re seeking someone to be part of our next stage of growth.
We’re looking for a Technical Product Lead to join our team. You’ll be working with cutting-edge online advertising technology and delivering top-notch, scalable products as part of a fun, supportive, energetic team.
You’ll work directly with a dedicated engineering team focusing on platform integrations. By integrating the MNTN platform with various partners and third-party systems, you will unlock new customer-oriented features and company growth. This role will require a background in engineering with a strong understanding of idiomatic API design. You will be uniquely positioned to interface with most of the MNTN technology platform, as many of our integrations will interact with different components within our technology stack.
You’ll run your post like a business and use your experience leading across different teams while driving business requirements through the entire project lifecycle. You’ll act as the liaison between various departments and be the “go-to” for all integration-based products. You’ll regularly meet with key stakeholders and send frequent updates to the company on all products and releases. Your ability to communicate effectively, run a room, and develop a rapport with various personalities is pivotal. We believe that people are reliable, good, honest, and effective. We hire people that share that belief. We also happen to be the fastest-growing company in streaming television.
You will:
- Develop an understanding of our UI, backend, and data architecture to know what buttons to push to move the product along – ultimately driving development work across the finish line
- Work with engineering leadership to understand the possibilities of solutions – assessing, mapping out, and planning how new integrations can be used to create new features
- Be presented with challenges and potential usability issues that require a solution from a design and architecture standpoint
- Curate and scope integration projects that can span multiple paradigms (ad serving, user interface, data reporting, and more)
- Use wireframing skills to present possible product concepts and integration solutions for end users
- Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Product Development, and Product Support teams to solve challenging problems, train, and present new solutions while communicating their value to customers
You have:
- 4+ years of traditional software engineering experience; backend and database experience preferred
- 5+ years of experience in at least 3 disciplines, such as information, solution or technical architecture, application development, middleware, or database management
- 8+ years of technical product management experience with API-focused or integration-focused products is critical
- Proficient in reading/assessing API documentation and SDK documentation
- Proficient in SQL databases
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook; experience with JIRA is a plus)
- Experience with software development in a BtoB or BtoC “Web Application” environment
- Ability to wireframe and problem solve difficult usability issues
- Ability to manage resources across sales, marketing and client services to prioritize in accordance with business goals and define deliverables
- Ability to track, monitor, and report on projects and deliverables
- Ability to guide and direct a broad array of integration projects simultaneously from demand to closure working through an agile methodology
- Background in AdTech, ecommerce or client-facing SaaS platforms and a firm knowledge of marketing performance terminology
- Strong articulation/presentation skills
The gig comes with a few perks:
- 100% remote
- Open-ended vacation policy with an annual vacation allowance
- Three-day weekend every month of the year
- Competitive compensation
- 100% healthcare coverage
- 401k plan
- Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for dependent, medical, and dental care
- Access to coaching, therapy, and professional development
