Technical Product Manager

SmarterTravel is a high-growth, data-driven tech company that is on a mission to revolutionize the $1 trillion travel and leisure industry. By combining the breadth and depth of travel options of an OTA and the customized, high-touch experience of a traditional travel agent, we seek to empower everyone to travel with confidence and ease. We are hiring a Product Manager who will be responsible for building our premier data science products that will enable us to provide highly personalized experiences to our customers.
We are looking for an entrepreneurial and customer focused Product Manager who will build technical products from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have a background in data science and experience building best-in-class ML and AI products. This is an amazing opportunity to own the Personalization product roadmap that is at the heart of SmarterTravel's long term strategy and vision.
What you'll do

• Lead the organization's use of ML and AI solutions to drive product innovations in recommendation and personalization across a full suite of travel products
• Build the ML and AI product roadmap, determine the necessary people and technical resources to ensure timely delivery of high quality products
• Translate leadership team's strategic direction into product features and business requirements by mapping user stories.
• Leverage market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into feature stories. and acceptance criteria for the engineering team.
• Define and prioritize feature stories, balancing impact and value. Write and communicate acceptance criteria, ensure requirements are understood and customer value is delivered.
• Guide engineering teams toward successful delivery of features using agile methodology. Drive execution by coordinating testing of features. Assure quality by validating that the story meets acceptance criteria and passes tests. Release features when complete.
• Communicate with stakeholders during the development and release of features. Align with product management on delivery expectations.
• Identify dependencies, trade offs and constraints around delivery and proactively enable team productivity by avoiding inconsistencies in requirements, reducing complexity where possible, and resolving bottlenecks.

The ideal candidate will have...

• 5+ years of Product Management
• Experience in communicating concepts including data science, machine learning, deep learning, etc
• Expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies
• Agile experience (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Developer)
• Ability to perform design and analyze business requirements
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Capability to identify and mitigate development and implementation risks
