What You’ll Do
We’re looking for a Technical Product Manager to support our Platform squad with a track record of success in fast-paced organizations and a bias for action. The goal of the Platform squad is to ensure our technology is modern while also building common services for our product squads. The Platform squad has a technical focus taking on larger refactorings, common solutions, upgrades and developing tooling to make the lives of other engineers simpler.
Your primary responsibility is driving the product planning, design and execution of technical projects to create a modern & flexible tech platform that sets the right foundation for future growth. In this role, you’ll identify new and unique opportunities to improve Sittercity’s shared services, monitoring, dev tooling and application performance. You’ll build and execute a cohesive strategy in partnership with dedicated engineering partners to reimagine our technical stack. You’ll also collaborate cross-functionally with other product teams to ensure your work is aligned with the rest of the company’s strategy and communicate updates to internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver and launch new solutions that drive business goals, create delightful experiences and improve platform performance.
- Translate our product strategy into an achievable roadmap based on technical objectives and customer needs.
- Clearly communicate strategy and goals across the company throughout all phases of work, from ideation to measurement.
- Lead projects through definitional / discovery stages. Effectively break down problems and rigorously prioritize and set scope. Research, write and analyze requirements.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the platform’s architecture, systems and components.
- Regularly monitor and report on the progress of technical efforts, ensuring transparency and accountability within the team.
- Define and analyze metrics that inform product & technical success.Â

Qualifications
- 4+ years experience in product management, with a background in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- Strong technical foundation, with a solid business acumen and appreciation for design
- Ability to distill and translate complex technical topics into easily communicable business updates
- Innovative problem solver who can quickly grasp concepts and drive ambiguous problem into clear solutions
- Demonstrated skill at product planning, including product definition, prioritization, and gaining insights from product metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations
- Familiarity with tools and technologies commonly used in marketplace platforms (e.g., payment gateways, search engines, recommendation systems, AI/ML ) is a plus.
