About the Role
Caribou is looking for a Technical Product Manager to partner with our engineering team and work with cutting-edge technology to help us evolve our integration platform. As Caribou looks to scale the breadth and depth of our product capabilities, this role will be focused on delivering great experiences powered by third party services and data integrations across Caribou.Â
Our integration platform is designed to seamlessly connect internal and third party systems and API’s. Through these capabilities, we’ll design frictionless financial experiences for our customers through capabilities like verifying identity, ingesting critical financial information to price risk, and automatically validate documents collected through the application process. The end result is an elegant customer journey that allows users to take control of their car payments in a matter of clicks.
To succeed in this role you must be able to interface regularly with internal teams and external partners, understand Caribou’s strategic objectives, and be adept at analyzing a variety of technologies and capabilities to ensure that integrations power a seamless set of products and services customers love.
As the Technical Product Manager for our Integration Enablement Team, you will:
- Drive product vision and strategy for integrations across the Caribou platform. The strategy should unlock new capabilities and simplify access to data and services, while driving the company toward an event-driven architecture.Â
- Act as the technical product lead for data integrations throughout the integration platform, working with strategic partners and internal teams to integrate and deliver new data & platform capabilities.
- Understand Caribou’s growth strategy and how each integration fits into the bigger picture of creating a seamless borrower & lender experience
- Work with various teams on integration projects, bringing in data and new capabilities from multiple internal and external data sources.
- Develop user experience goals, stories, and requirements that will be used to drive product specifications, help define milestones, and estimate work efforts with your engineering partners.Â
- Metrics and data-driven mindset. You’ll be at the center of developing an integrations strategy; measuring and assessing the value and efficiencies driven by those integrations will be key!
About You
You bring a demonstrated track record of success in developing integrations to further an organizations’ growth and capabilities. Additionally, you are collaborative, detail-oriented, and excited about building a strong data and services ecosystem. You’re naturally customer-centric and thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires strong technical and business acumen and solid communication skills. You have:
- 4+ years of Product Management expertise, owning a highly technical roadmap and delivering features that focus on underlying platform capabilities.
- Experience closely collaborating across Engineering, Product, and Sales Operations / Support teams.
- Experience working with Data integrations, SDKs, APIs, Event Bus (esp. Kafka), in the context of Public Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure), and related concepts and technologies.
- The drive and curiosity to deeply understand the needs of your customers, stakeholders and prospects, and translate relevant needs into well-defined problems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to properly translate and articulate positioning and technology
- Ability to set and communicate a comprehensive vision for how integrations advance strategic objectives for users and the business

- Competitive base salary compensation: $140-180K

- This role can be based out of Caribou offices in Washington, DC or Denver, CO. Alternatively, this role may work remotely from a state where Caribou operates*. However, this role will require attendance at occasional in-person team meetings. As a result, candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to be eligible for this position
