Job Description

commercetools - we are:

  • The competitive sort: We didn’t become the fastest growing, highest ever valued SaaS software company in digital commerce with nearly 100% year-over-year growth by sitting on the sidelines.
  • Inspired: Continually exploring what’s possible — the innovators of headless commerce, the visionaries behind MACH — our patented tech has radically disrupted the world of enterprise ecommerce software - and we are just getting started.
  • Valued: Smart, strong, passionate individuals hailing from over 50 countries across the globe, speaking over 43 languages, and collectively embracing diversity, encouraging inclusion, and fostering a culture of caring.
  • Driven: We push the limits, technology, and ourselves to retain the trust of some of the world’s leading and fastest growing brands every single day.

The Opportunity:

commercetools has a global team of product managers from all over the world, and we believe our diversity is what makes us great. With our CPO and Head of Product, this enthusiastic team is defining our product vision and roadmap. If you are looking for a place where your contribution makes a difference, and if you never want to stop learning and growing, join our product management team!

At commercetools we power commerce solutions that allow our customers to work at cloud scale. Join our Cloud Tools - Kubernetes & Infrastructure team and work with a multinational team in shaping the commercetools platform logging & observability future. We focus on providing product teams with a unified logging solution. We help them by providing the monitoring tools that give them insights with what's happening with the product APIs. We run and maintain our infrastructure on Kubernetes.

You will participate in directing and defining the teams to have a seamless logging pipeline. You will be responsible to guide other product teams by helping them define their SLO pipeline. You will be the person spearheading a team of enthusiasts to achieve the roadmap to provide infrastructure as a service while working with great like-minded people from other teams within the product group. If you see yourself having knack of reading what's new in the infrastructure domain, this clearly means you are the missing piece to this team's puzzle.

Please note that for this role, we can currently offer full-remote work for candidates based in the European Union and in the United Kingdom.

Your Mission:

  • Define the vision and direction for commercetools’ logging, metrics, and SLO infrastructure, in line with our overall infrastructure goals
  • Use data and user research to understand the internal users, identify high value opportunities, and create your team’s backlog
  • Research and stay up to date with latest technologies in the cloud infrastructure space
  • Work closely within a distributed team of passionate and highly skilled infrastructure developers
  • Coordinate with legal, security, auditors, technology leadership, and other product teams
  • Logs - Indexing log events, querying/search log events
  • Metrics - Collecting metrics, querying metrics, alert handling
  • Security - Authentication (SSO), automated SSL and key handling
  • CI/CD - Build pipeline for services and software provided by our team
  • SLOs - Infrastructure for providing SLO metrics and SLO reports
  • Join the product management team. We like to grow and learn together, including regular knowledge exchange sessions plus coaching from peers and the Head of Product.

What you need to succeed:

  • A completed university degree or a completed associate degree or a similar completed qualification
  • Experience in one or more of the following: cloud infrastructure, containers, developer tools, developer operations, and/or serverless.
  • 3+ years working as a product manager in the cloud infrastructure domain; preferably in a distributed team
  • Fluent English to work in an international team
