Technical Product Manager- Platform Infrastructure

Our Platform Infrastructure Engineering Pod is focused on stability, enabling scale and accelerating innovation at Avant. We are looking for a Product Manager to join the pod who is excited to both drive the future platform strategy and roadmap, while ensuring reliability and consistency for our millions of valued customers.
What you will do at Avant:

• Develop the product strategy, vision and roadmap for Infrastructure, including writing product briefs and requirements through collaboration across Product and Technology
• Collaborate with internal customers to deeply understand their needs and goals, in the service of developing a roadmap that will unlock innovation and efficiency for Avant's business.
• Identify and manage dependencies across other initiatives that impact the Infrastructure Pod
• Manage scrum ceremonies and activities including backlog prioritization
• Ensure the pod has a clear path from the strategy to the execution, including follow through on project deliverables
• Manage and optimize the P&L for infrastructure which includes but not limited to reviewing vendor spend, usage on platform, and identify areas where we could be more efficient
• Timely follow through on incidents that arise related to Infrastructure
• Champion and educate the company on the importance of a the infrastructure platform

Why you are a fit for Avant:

• You have a BA/BS degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
• You have 7+ years of technical product experience working on or closely with an Infrastructure team. Experience working on a new infrastructure platform is a plus.
• You have delivered technical platform innovations and improvements, and understand how to think through platform concerns
• You have managed a product area that has a large customer base and had to triage production issues
• You have experience and/or exposure to but not limited to Github, programming knowledge (golang, python, javascript, java, C#), queuing technology (Kafka, SQS, SNS, AMQP), CI/CD landscape like Github Action, Docker, K8s
• You have experience with agile development in a production environment at a startup or tech organization where you have led the scrum ceremonies and prioritization of a backlog
• You have experience creating and executing on a product strategy
• You thrive with handling and executing multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• You thrive when inspiring engineering teams and building partnerships in a cross functional space, able to drive initiatives beyond the scope of your team
• Exceptional attention to detail, thoroughness, and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, analytical skills, combined with intellectual curiosity
