Job Description Summary

We are seeking a proactive and dynamic leader to join our Software Technology Solutions R&D team as a TPM based in San Diego or remotely with occasional travel. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for driving and leading the long-term product vision, strategy, roadmap, and solution definition for one of our HealthSight™ software solutions supporting the PyxisTM and AlarisTM product ecosystems, and potential analytics solutions involving products from other BD Business Units. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, aligning features with measurable outcomes that bring value to our customers. Additionally, you will collaborate with various teams to understand clinical, legal, regulatory, and customer support requirements, ensuring product readiness and implementing a plan for regular releases.

This is an ideal role for a TPM with a background in pharmacy informatics and data analytics experience. The successful candidate will be looked to by the team as the product's subject matter expert, possessing both a solid command of the technology solution and architecture, and a detailed understanding of the business strategy and initiatives of the Product Marketing team.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a leader and influential contributor in a complex environment
  • Develops and manages roadmaps aligned with the Voice of the Customer
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on product software solutions and capabilities
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to identify drivers for business success
  • Evaluates alternative solutions considering customer impact and resource implications

  • Monitors healthcare market trends and communicates their product impact concisely
  • Builds collaborative relationships with key partners and team members
  • Influences cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Works with Requirements Engineers for accurate user story elaboration and backlog grooming
  • Exhibits organizational and time management skills to stay on top of work streams

Education and experience required:

  • 5+ years' technical depth and hands-on customer facing product management experience, preferably with a background in pharmacy informatic and software analytics
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; Pharmacy degree preferred
  • Experience with diversion prevention, dispensing, infusion or medication safety workflows in a connected hospital environment, with EMR integration, and with formulary data and healthcare IT standards such as HL7 file standards and HL7 FHIR APIs is strongly desired.
  • Ability to understand complex data models, server architectures, networked systems, cloud solutions, and integration approaches (e.g., file-based ETLs, and real-time APIs).
  • Experience with Quality and Regulatory standards in healthcare.

  • Proven ability to convey complex technical information to a variety of audiences such as leadership and cross functional teams with varying tehcnical and/or clinical backgrounds
  • Knowledge of go-to-market needs to ensure successful product rollout and commercial excellence.
  • Experience with scrum and other Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and Aha! or similar tools is highly desired.
  • Ability to write user stories and groom a backlog.
