Technical Product Marketing Manager
Job Description
Forward Networks is revolutionizing the way large networks are managed. The Forward Enterprise platform delivers a vendor-agnostic "digital twin" of the network, based on a mathematical model. The platform scales to support hundreds of thousands of network devices, whether cloud, hybrid cloud, or on-prem. It serves as a single source of truth for the network, enabling network operators to instantly verify security posture, accelerate troubleshooting, avoid outages, and modernize network management.
Over the past few years, Forward Networks has received tremendous industry recognition, including “Cool Vendor in Enterprise Networking” by Gartner, “Product of the Year” by Cloud Computing, “Enterprise Cloud Computing Software of the Year,” and has been named to Fortune’s 2022 “Best Workplaces in the Bay Area” list.
The company was founded by four Stanford PhD graduates who saw a massive opportunity to improve network operations. Investors include Andreessen Horowitz, Threshold Ventures, and Goldman Sachs.
Forward Networks is looking for an experienced Technical Product Marketing Manager

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the in-house product expert, working closely with the rest of the Marketing team to produce key assets, such as web copy, datasheets, whitepapers, blog posts, podcasts, and presentations
- Be a liaison between the Customer Success, Product, Technical Pre-Sales, and Marketing teams
- Understand the pain points and buying journey for our ICP
- Clearly articulate the value proposition of the Forward Networks solution, as well as detailed, specific customer use cases
- Conduct webinars for sales prospects
- Work with the PR & AR teams on media and analyst briefings
- Develop scripts for demo videos, and work with our creative team to produce compelling video content
- Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Minimum 5-7 years demonstrated success in a technical marketing role in the networking industry
- Natural storytelling ability and a track record of translating technical jargon into compelling content
- Deep understanding of the networking, cloud, and security product landscape, competitors, history, emerging trends and changing marketplace
- Ability to communicate business and technical value to all levels of management
- Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
- Bonus points for a background in hands-on network management or IT infrastructure
- Bonus points for a recorded, viewable Tech Field Day presentation
Salary: $150,000-$160,000
