We are looking for a dynamic Product Owner to join our growing Product Development team. The Product Owner will work closely with the Product Manager and other product resources, stakeholders, architects, and agile development leads to define product requirements based on market, channel partners, and persona driven end-user needs, prioritize features into individual details for sprint goals in collaboration with CitusHealth agile scrum leads and development leads. Identify processes that will maximize opportunities and improve business processes and tools that will strengthen the overall business and delight CitusHealth customers. The product owner will be responsible for the definition and end-to-end launch of new features and improvements as well as maintaining subject matter expertise and documentation for focus areas.

Let's talk about your role

  • You will gather and document detailed business requirements in formal requirements document.
  • You will translate product roadmap features and customer enhancement requests into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria
  • You will own, develop, and maintain a healthy backlog of features and stories
  • You will create persona driven requirements including use cases, data flow diagrams and solutions that meets customer business needs and requirements.
  • You will work with cross-functional teams and collaborators to analyze the impacts of new product features and enhancements
  • You will effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • You will translate product directives into backlog items, effectively representing customer needs.
  • You will author, refine and approve backlog items, with clearly articulated acceptance criteria
  • You will participate in developing a roadmap across internal operation systems and business processes with enhancements
  • You will identify needs and conduct market research to further clarify product strengths and gaps to help feed into future product definitions, help to document market landscape, and help refine product messaging as needed
  • You will serve as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
  • You will be working with stakeholders, Scrum team and Product Management Group, to adjust priorities and expectations to maximize the business value delivered
  • You will be serving as the primary source of external information for the Scrum teams, offering clear definitions of the targeted capability, the intended value to the customer and functional/non-functional requirements framing the scope of the capability
  • You will effectively communicate product release contents and expected product capabilities/behavior to stakeholders
  • You will update systems of record as required including Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, etc.
  • You will provide servant-leadership for teams and support continuous improvement activities to help a team consistently deliver working code
  • You will lead your team through the refinement of user stories, ensuring that the business value remains the focus.
  • You will enable the team to succeed by helping to remove or illuminate any blockers as they arise through the development cycle
  • You will coordinate teamwork efforts to maximize velocity and value delivery
  • You will work with the Engineering teams for quality assurance and release scheduling
  • You will coordinate and complete release activities including release notes, communications, user documentation, and reporting
  • You will prepare release demos for business and product stakeholders

Let's talk about you

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems/Computer Science/Business Management and minimum 3 years of technology, product, or project development experience or equivalent experience building and shipping software.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience as software business analyst/technical product owner / Scrum master experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare IT, or a healthcare software development organization
  • Consistent track record of delivering data-driven solutions with a customer-first approach
  • Experience in delivering of end-to-end data and intelligence solutions, including a wide variety of mechanisms, e.g., Dashboards, APIs, User Interfaces, etc.
  • Understanding and technical acumen to include core cloud concepts such as SaaS, APIs, devops/SRE, software development life cycle,
  • Excellent project delivery skills with proven work experience participating in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze and assess existing client needs to identify the underlying problem to solve
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban and related tools (Jira, Rally, or Azure DevOps).
  • Balance of technical knowledge and discernment
  • Customer-first, user experience mentality
  • Proactive, self-starter able to lead multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners to drive collaboration and alignment
  • Software Release management experience is a huge asset.
  • AWS experience is preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
