Job Description
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
In addition to managing a large portfolio of products rating highest in complexity within the unit, and serving as the interface between internal partners, external customers, and the development team throughout the planning and software development process, the Technical Product Owner 3 plays a key role in the mentorship of junior members of the ream. This individual strategically assigns project action items and provides guidance in execution.
HOW YOU'D CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM:
- Actively coaches junior teammates to deliver technological solutions that provide value and meet organizational objectives. Provides task oversight while fostering a spirit of teamwork and unity among teammates that allows for disagreement over ideas with expeditious resolution and appreciation for diversity, sparking cohesiveness and an effective working dynamic. Provides technical support as needed.
- Develops product vision, prioritization, and actively promotes with team, business partners and management. Highlights product features in a manner clearly understandable to development team.
- Collaborates with product management, development, and user experience design staff to lead timely, successful scope definition and feature deployment.
- Assigns or performs market research to align with end-user need and creation of an effective roadmap for product. Analyzes customer feedback to determine features or components that will add value to product.
- Prioritizes product feature backlog to to ensure timely completion of work. Conducts backlog grooming sessions as needed with junior team members to ensure objectives are met timely and fully. Aligns stakeholders on current status and ensures backlog is transparent to all.
- Assigns or develops epics and user stories with acceptance criteria in alignment with defined objectives. Monitors product quality and determines when user stories are completed; plans for product release.
- Interfaces with Quality Assurance team to ensure all product features are accurately tested.
- Approves validated functionality for deployment into production. Assesses product value stream to identify areas that require improvement.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:
- EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, highly preferred.
- CERTIFICATIONS: One or more required: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Associate Product Management (A-CAPM). Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus.
- EXPERIENCE: The following is required: More than ten (10) years of previous experience working within Information Technology required. Minimum of seven (7) years of previous experience managing multiple large, complex products within an Agile environment. Proven experience with root cause analysis for web-based software (data querying syntax).

- CHANGE MANAGEMENT: Develops workable implementation plans. Communicates changes effectively. Builds commitment and overcomes resistance. Prepares and supports those affected by change. Monitors transition and evaluates results.
- MATH AND REASONING ABILITY: Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where some limited standardization exists. Able to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

The pay scale for this job is $112,310 - 136,020. This pay scale is an estimate of the salary range the employer reasonably expects to pay for the position based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations consistent with applicable law. The actual salary may be above or below the range. The pay scale applies only to this position and only if it is filled in California. The pay scale may be different for other positions or in other locations.
