DealerPolicy's Platform Team is an agile team that designs, delivers, and supports self-service infrastructure & DevOps tooling to support our stream-aligned software engineering teams. As a Technical Product Owner, you will be a key member of this team.
We are seeking a driven, experienced and resourceful technical product owner to join our growing, fast paced and collaborative Engineering team. In this position, you will be working closely with Engineering Leadership and stakeholders to articulate product vision to the platform team, help influence product direction, and drive and define the launch of new solutions.

In this position, you will be working closely with Engineering Leadership and stakeholders to articulate product vision to the platform team, help influence product direction, and drive and define the launch of new solutions.
Responsibilities
- Be a champion for the platform as a product, the team, and their goals
- Define and prioritize user stories and manage the team's backlog
- Maintain a rolling 3 - 6 month product backlog
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements through collaboration with Engineering leaders, stakeholders, and other Product Owners
- Ensure work meets the team's Definition of Done as well as users' needs
- Communicate design changes to stakeholders and Engineers when they happen
- Engage stakeholders proactively, receive feedback, and manage expectations
- Facilitate team ceremonies to ensure effectiveness
- Coach team members in agile principles and practices
Requirements
Knowledge, Skill and Experience Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or other software delivery role in a self-organizing agile team
- Experience coordinating product and technology delivery across teams
- Agile certification such as Product Owner or Scrum Master a plus
- Strong understanding of cloud-based software, Infrastructure as Code, and SDLC
- Strong technical aptitude, analysis, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to articulate technical and business requirements to stakeholders across the entire spectrum of technical aptitude
- Understanding of event-driven software architectures
- Experience building software using modern JS frameworks, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous code
- Passion for building products and technology
- Embody product thinking - consistently asking "why" and helping others understand
- Strong technical aptitude, analysis, and problem-solving skills
