Job Description

As a self-starting Technical Product Specialist, you'll be a key component to our product representation, documentation, certifications, and optimization plans for our platforms. You'll personally support the product team in a variety of capacities with our award-winning security solutions. Your targets will include feature highlights, industry compliance, performance metrics, release planning, and tactical guidance for our team.

2+ years of hands-on Access Control/ Video/ Security experience is required to apply for this role

Responsibilities

You will apply product knowledge to enhance and simplify the user experience, create guidance documents, technical tips and awareness, system optimization plans, and industry compliance based on electronics, software, cloud solutions, and other testing requirements. Strong preference will be given to candidates with direct experience with physical security manufacturing and software development processes, from any Product, Project, Engineering, or Sales-Engineering perspectives.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation and artifacts as required by the product team
  • Complete certification and compliance analysis, status management, and resource efforts for existing products as well as new products with engineering team
  • Assess, design, and write technical tips and optimization guides for technology partners, systems integrators and end-users
  • Suggest and highlight architecture and integration methods to ease installation and integration methods
  • Perform industry analysis on competing and complementary products and document all findings
  • Provide source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives, press releases, and tradeshow input
  • Assess product market data and make recommendations for changes by calling on customers with field salespeople and evaluating sales call results as needed
  • Advise and contribute to product and engineering teams on premises products that are hosted security management solutions using cloud environments and participate in on-going assessments
  • Assist with providing information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses; answering questions and requests
  • Facilitate inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels, production schedule, and creating new product kits to simplify ordering process
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Product Technology, Technical Writing, Project Management, Customer Requirements, SaaS Environments, Industry Certifications and Compliance, Federal Systems Approval Processes, Strategy, Innovation, Requirements Analysis, System Optimization, Inventory Control, Financial Planning, Strategy, Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must.

Requirements

2+ years of hands-on Access Control/ Video/ Security experience

2+ years of industry compliance and certification experience

Sales Engineering experience is highly desired

2+ years of cloud and/or Cyber experience is highly desired

Identiv premises products, SaaS, JIRA, Confluence, Google Suite, Networking, System Deployment, Compliance/Certifications, RFID, Wireless, Bluetooth, NFC, LDAP, SDK/API, ONVIF, AI/ML, plus normal business project management, technical and communications software.

Preferred Industry Certification and Compliance Experience

UL, CE, UKCA, FCC, FIPS 140, ISO

Desired, but not required: FIPS 201, GSA APL, FISMA, FedRAMP, CPNI, CAPSS, SP 800

Education

Minimum: Bachelor's degree in engineering or business or at least 5 years of any combination of Technical Project Manager, Technical Support Specialist, Electronic Security Specialist, Physical Security Specialist, Product Marketing Manager, or Sales Engineer

Your salary/compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience.

In the spirit of pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is between $90,000 - $130,000 annually.
