A successful candidate will also be flexible to strategic changes that can occur, and be able to rescope execution to meet this demand. This position requires a technology background, SDLC experience, extensive experience with program management, experience in security best practices, excellent communication skills, and experience in working with the highest level executive leadership teams.

Successful candidates must be self-starting, self-managing, action-oriented, capable of working on concurrent complex projects, and able to communicate clearly and effectively to cross-functional teams and business audiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate and track execution of Engineering team initiatives in alignment with leadership and company goals
  • Build strong partner relationships with the Engineering leadership, and other cross functional teams
  • Contribute to the development of the Engineering project-planning process
  • Provide metric-based, as well as progression-based, status reporting for executive-level consumption
  • Roll out process changes to the Engineering organization
  • Develop communication plans to ensure alignment across the organization
  • Review service failures, lead incident reviews, and create reports when required as part of ClickUp’s Incident Management process.
  • Organize and run monthly/quarterly site-health review meetings with executive stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, make recommendations to Engineering teams, then track execution on those approved recommendations
  • Champion collaboration, re-use of existing technologies, solutions, knowledge sharing, and promote communication among the team leaders
  • Create, review and track updates to process and technical operations documentation. This includes templating process approaches
  • Act as liaison to broker conversations between teams, documenting the action items and deliverables of those conversations
  • Assign and oversee the daily tasks of engineering personnel with their managers, while ensuring all are actively working toward established milestones
  • Produce ad-hoc reports when required - drive towards automated dashboards.
 
Qualifications - As an ideal candidate, you:
  • Have 5-8 years experience as a Technical Program Manager, with the majority of those years focused on End to End ownership of Software Products.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Program Management processes, strategies and methods
  • Understand and have practical experience rolling out SDLC processes.
  • Have experience/familiarity with cloud-based Infrastructure solutions.
  • Tenacious problem solver, will own issues start-to-finish until resolved.
  • Experience working with teams building highly-distributed, large-scale solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written, visual in presentation and verbal with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Hold and host meetings to help drive execution of deliverables.
  • Strong rapport and relationship building skills with both internal departments and external customers.
  • Excellent networking skills, ability to navigate organizations, and build strong relationships with clients, partners, and executive leadership.
  • A good level of business awareness and technical acumen.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to take a creative approach to situations and problem solving.
  • Understanding of tech industry working practices / methodologies ITIL foundation certification desirable, but not essential.
  • Due to ClickUp being a 24x7x365 operation, must be willing to be available for occasional infrequent Engineering needs off core hours.
