Technical Program Manager San Francisco, CA

We are seeking a Technical Program Manager who is passionate about working with data and translating it into practical insights. The ideal candidate will have a background in data analysis and possess technical knowledge of data infrastructure. In this role, you will define the roadmap and collaborate with internal partners to collect data from various sources. You will also be tasked with building a strategy and infrastructure to analyze the data for our Quality Engineering (QE) teams. Additionally, you will initiate and lead a wide range of QE-related projects and programs, which will require working with teams and departments outside of our QE organization. You will also bridge efforts and fill gaps between teams in multiple geographical locations. Furthermore, you will lead our efforts to build and maintain various dashboards that are shared across our QE teams. Our environment cultivates growth, autonomy, and innovation. Responsibilities:
  • Develop strategies and lead projects to establish infrastructure for data collection from standard Agile tools, various QA tools, and our QA automation platform.
  • Create, maintain, and enhance our dashboards.
  • Analyze data and formulate action plans to enhance QE processes, coverage, and prioritization.
  • Research new tools to improve productivity and efficiency across multiple organizations.
  • Collaborate with various Feature teams and QE members to gather requirements, devise plans, track progress, and assist project members in making technical decisions.
  • Serve as a liaison between different QE teams and the leadership team, providing updates on progress to internal partners and collaborators.
  • Act as the focal point for various programs and operations to support and enhance the efficiency of QE activities. Identify areas for QE process improvements, initiate discussions, and combine efforts from different teams to implement solutions.
  • Aid in aligning our business with industry-standard QA practices and test automation.
  • Collaborate with third-party service providers to support our QA tools. Provide assistance to internal users in upgrading versions and infrastructure, as well as exploring and implementing new features and functionalities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BSB/BA) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology Management, or a related field.
  • Data analysis background and experience in leading data infrastructure projects.
  • Basic understanding of programming languages (Python is preferred) and database query languages.
  • Experience working in an Agile software development and QA environment.
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to engage with multiple and diverse partners across various business and leadership levels.
  • Proficiency in Jira (JQL and Dashboard), Confluence, as well as Google Suite and Microsoft Excel formulas.
  • Must excel in conflict resolution and people management across different business backgrounds.
  • Proactive – ability to take initiative in identifying and solving complex problems.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, work independently, prioritize effectively, balance multiple projects, and stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
Desired qualifications
  • Master's degree (MS).
  • Proficiency in hands-on Python scripting and SQL.
  • Any certifications and training related to project management or QA processes are highly advantageous.
  • Interest in gaming, digital entertainment, or consumer electronics is a plus.
  • Full professional proficiency in Japanese is desirable but not required.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$144,300—$216,500 USD
