Job Description

ARS is seeking a full-time mid-to-senior level Technical Program Manager (TPM) located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH, supporting the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). The Technical Program Manager's primary functions will include planning and leading the execution of technical work to support AFRL in the design and development cutting edge technologies. The Candidate will be responsible for defining requirements and program scope, design the development and operations of the Program Cloud Development Environments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide hands-on technical leadership and work closely with diverse organizations and user communities to understand key requirements, document assumptions, and capture critical metric data to inform early development decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Build and manage product roadmaps and schedules
  • Help drive and define program strategy
  • Architect cloud-based development environments for a large programs
  • Assess system design and architecture
  • Design and document best practices for DevSecOps actions
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Coordinate taskings with team and enable rapid iteration of designs
  • Ensure successful execution and delivery of government deliverables
  • Abide by regulations and adhere to DOD/AF/AFRL/ARS standards
  • Communicate technical information in the form of visual updates, technical reports, and/or briefings to government leaders
  • Support Government Program Manager as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • SECRET Clearance required, TS/SCI Clearance preferred
  • 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience with DoD programs
  • 15+ years of experience with System Architecture and Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience with Docker and container-based technologies
  • 5+ years of experience with Cloud technologies
  • Familiarity with RMF/DIACAP accreditation process
  • Strong foundation in containers, algorithms, and software application design
  • Relevant technology expertise and ability to adapt to environment limitations
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to translate customer technical needs into technical specifications
  • PMP Certification desirable
