What You'll Be Doing

As a Technical Program Manager within the Lilly Research Labs (LRL) - Information Hub IT team, you will use your technical knowledge to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You will work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional stakeholders across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to leaders as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs with the product development team. A typical engagement will include partnering with key stakeholders and capitalizing on Lilly Enterprise Data Platform capabilities to deliver on project work that enables data usage and business functionality.

How You'll Succeed

In this role, you will:

• Take projects and break them down into manageable pieces. Develop functional specifications as needed.

• Lead a cross functional product team to scope, execute and deliver on initiatives end-to end, in alignment with Lilly enterprise architecture and strategy principles.

• Manage program schedules, budget, and resources from design to deployment.

• Develop long-term strategies for products and translate them into achievable roadmaps.

• Communicate to stakeholders and leaders. Anticipate bottlenecks, provide status updates, escalation management, make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.

• Gain understanding of new technologies, dealing with data integration and cross-organizational complexities.

• Thrive and succeed in an innovative environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or conflicting priorities.

• Coach and help team to understand, deliver, and articulate the value propositions while applying agile principles and practices of Scrum.

Your Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or High School Diploma with 5 years' experience in technical program management.

• 3 years of experience in program management, leading and managing technology projects in all phases, from evaluation to execution.

• Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban, to deliver solutions.

Additional Preferences

• Scrum Master Certification.

• Experience in leading product teams through transforming agile ways of working.

• Demonstrated solid judgment and effective communication skills.
