Technical Program Manager

At Anaplan, we are looking for a self-motivated TECHNICAL PROGRAM MANAGER to join our growing team based preferably near Minneapolis, New York, or Miami, to contribute as a member of the Information Technology Center of Excellence covering Anaplan engineers in San Francisco, Miami, Minneapolis, London, York, and Tel Aviv. This position reports to the Director, IT Center of Excellence. As an Agile and Waterfall program and project manager, you will work closely with partners across IT, HR, Finance, Legal, Sales 7 marketing, and wider Business organizations to plan and manage the IT support, development, and delivery of strategic business outcomes.

Your Impact

• Partnering across our company to help plan, develop, and release value to our customers
• Prioritizing, orchestrating, and managing IT engineers and managers on key IT initiatives with deliverable outcomes
• Providing insight into the Business by helping your teams track metrics that align with business outcomes
• Applying appropriate PM frameworks (Agile, Waterfall) to improve our processes, practices, and culture so that we are at the top of our program/project management game
• Building and maintaining valuable dashboards in Jira and Confluence that show us where we are at and if we are going to make our marks
• Work with the Director, COE to build upward reporting and establish governance for senior management visibility
• Be part of a team that drives common approaches that make it simpler for teams and leaders to focus on the big-picture problems

Your Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of experience working in Waterfall and Agile PMOs as a Program/Project Manager in a technical context
• Field experience managing technology projects. Information Technology projects are preferred, but not mandatory
• A personality biased towards applying organization, structure, and documentation (specifically playbooks and project plans/timelines) to chaos and/or tribal processes
• Passionate about problem-solving with a solid history of using data to drive decisions
• Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to lead via influence in cross-functional environments
• Excellent communication skills, in particular communicating technical concepts between audiences of varying backgrounds and building narratives for executives
• Experience with change management, in particular, new process definition/rollout
• Experience with software delivery, continuous integration, and delivery pipelines
