Gogo Business Aviation is looking for a thoughtful, collaborative, and high-energy problem solver to drive programs critical to the organization's future. You will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams through the end-to-end delivery of projects and programs.

How will you make a difference?
  • Implement program management best practices to ensure programs are completed on time, within budget, and satisfy all program requirements and objectives
  • Proactively manage and execute all aspects of a program through the program life cycle, including conception, monitoring, and controlling through NPI, and program closure
  • Provide leadership and coordination with cross-functional teams to coordinate companywide resources and ensure that the scope and schedule of your programs support strategic business objectives
  • Own the schedule management of the programs you are managing. This includes developing and facilitating alignment for baseline schedules, engaging in critical path analysis, and proactively communicating these aspects across the organization
  • Engage in practical stakeholder analysis by identifying key stakeholders, discerning their expectations, and executing effective communication plans
  • Tailor messaging to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization - from individual contributors to the executive leadership team
  • Program status, issues, and solutions to small and large audiences
  • Engage in proactive and transparent communication across the organization utilizing various modes of communication based on context and situation
  • Enable cross-functional team meetings, utilizing high-quality meeting hygiene standards, to facilitate inter-departmental communication and effective collaboration to ensure successful project delivery
  • Develop and communicate risk mitigation and contingency plans for key program risks with program stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to AS9100 organization quality system requirements
  • Take initiative and facilitate collaborative negotiations with program participants and stakeholders to drive alignment on addressing significant issues before they impact the program
  • Optimize program delivery within Gogo Business Aviation's Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to continuously deliver value to our customers
  • Share your perspective, experience, and lessons learned to challenge the status quo and continually improve the program management discipline at Gogo Business Aviation
  • Be curious - learn beyond your domain to better understand Gogo Business Aviation's products, technology, culture, and customers

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of engineering project management experience

  • Ability to establish credibility and trust with key stakeholders and project teams to effectively lead through influence
  • Superior discernment skills; know which competing task takes priority at a given time
  • Must possess managerial courage; demonstrate confidence with a data-driven approach to managing risks and making decisions that will impact project execution and organizational objectives
  • Practical knowledge of project management theory, concepts and principles
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills with excellent judgment and attention to detail
  • Superb collaboration and communication skills with all levels of stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness to explore creative solutions to eliminate potential program roadblocks

Preferred Experience, Skills and Talents
  • Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification or equivalent PM experience
  • Experience in the wireless communications, data communications and/or aviation industry
  • Skills in Agile Development methodology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Project Server
  • History of delivering completed projects on time and on budget
  • Flexibility and adaptability when learning and understanding new technologies

Colorado Equal Pay Statement: Disclosure required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role to be located in the state of Colorado.
Base Pay:
97,600.00 - 122,000.00 USD Annual
Target Annual Short-Term Incentive:
Bonus Plan at 10% (% of Annualized Base Pay)
