Technical Program Manager, Ad Platform

We’re looking for a Technical Program Manager to join Snap Inc! As a member of the Ad Platform engineering organization, you will own operational excellence for the performance of our ad stack. You’ll develop and own launch processes and various monitoring/review frameworks that allow Snap to balance velocity with tenacity, define metrics, supervise new launches, identify deviations and trends in the delivery funnel and lead investigations for root cause analysis. You will heavily use data in guiding the team with vitality and are able to unblock yourself by doing hands on data analysis. You will take a critical eye towards how all these programs work in conjunction with each other while being able to distill feedback from team members to make them more efficient and effective.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• A relationship builder with natural verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, operational approach and validated project management skills (e.g. tracking, follow-through)
• Experience working on innovative digital ad platform
• Capacity to work in a fast paced, constantly evolving environment
• Ability to do hands-on work to perform independent data analysis, build dashboards and automation tools
• Someone who can prioritize, focus, and problem solving.
• An individual who is self-motivated and driven and has proven commitment to take accountability and responsibility for success of large programs

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree in an analytical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Science, Math, etc.) or equivalent years of experience
• 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering / Technical Program Management or a similar role leading multi-functional programs in the software or tech industry in a data-driven environment
• Hands on SQL/Presto/BigQuery/Redshift experience and ability to independently query data
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Grafana, Looker, Tableau, DataStudio) building dashboards, source control (e.g. GitHub), ticket management (e.g. JIRA)
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to influence and hold teams accountable while encouraging a collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience on a digital ad platform with deep understanding of relevant metrics and dependencies across Ad Delivery, Targeting, Ranking and Measurement
• 2+ years experience in software or data analytics role as an individual contributor
• Experience with cloud technologies and service oriented architectures
• Experience with large scale ranking and recommendation systems
• Track record of using data analytics for improving SW operations and organizational efficiency
• Development experience using Python (numpy, pandas, etc.) or other scripting language to do data analysis, advanced analytics and development of automation tools (e.g. automating slide generation, detecting outliers, etc.)
• Advanced degree in an analytical field or Computer/Data Science background
