As a Snap Engineering team member, you’ll help us build the future of communication.

We're looking for a Technical Program Manager to join the App Experience team to lead a portfolio of programs that cut across Engineering, Growth, Product and Monetization.

What you’ll do:
  • Lead and support the design and delivery of scalable, multi-functional technical programs and initiatives that drive excellence and alignment across our Core Engineering team

  • Lead projects to improve adoption of Engineering operational standard processes

  • Drive and define operational tasks related to the programs you own and support

  • Build and stabilize systems for supervising the health and progress of your respective program

  • Proactively seek out feedback on how to improve

  • Help coordinate and complete project development while prioritizing project tasks and different teams needs

  • Understand issues and needs and help to bring together key partners to quickly converge on solutions

  • Create and maintain meticulous documentation in the planning, launch, and execution stages of a program’s lifecycle, ensuring partners are aligned

  • Communicate project statuses to project members, service owners, and leadership with a high degree of accuracy and visibility

  • Plan and implement high value cross-team meetings

  • Cultivate an open and connected environment

  • Collaborate with and support your TPM and PgM team members

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • The technical expertise to dive deeply into technical details, e.g., dependencies, design choices, operability, etc., and ask the right technical questions, and drive constructive discussions with engineers

  • Sufficient technical judgment to solve technical problems and understand trade-offs in evaluating technical requirements against business requirements

  • A strong executor and relationship-builder with strong verbal and written communication skills, who can communicate at all levels including with engineers, tech leads, leadership and partners across other orgs

  • Strong organizational skills and validated project management track record

  • Experience in project goal-setting, schedule management and work breakdown structures

  • Capacity to work in a fast paced, constantly evolving environment

  • A demonstrated ability to lead sophisticated projects, successfully (sets clear goals, identifies roadblocks, designs solutions, and supervises progress against time critical release)

  • Someone who can prioritize, focus, and is an ambitious thinker and problem solver who is unafraid to ask hard questions and challenge norms

  • Established mentor and initiative leader with the ability to lead by example

  • An individual who is self-motivated and driven and has shown commitment to take accountability and responsibility for success of large programs

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS/BA degree in CS, CE, or EE, or equivalent years of experience

  • 4+ years Technical Program Management experience and/or experience supporting multi-functional teams on technical projects

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of demonstrated ability in Technical Program Management at a software company

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science

  • Experience with internal tool development and roadmaps

  • Experience with Google Big Query and querying data via SQL

  • Familiarity developing technical training documentation
